Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Missouri City

I would not recommend visiting this Chilis location. Upon entry I had asked for seating for 3 adults and 3 children. The greeter asked if a booth was okay, I said that would be fine, if we can put a chair on the end of the table, she responded that we couldn't do that but as she led us to a table of four we passed someone that had did just that. When we get to the table she was going to seat us at it was a small table with four chairs. I had to tell her there is only four chairs. Her response was one of frustration, stated she would have to put 2 tables together and stood there looking at me. Most restaurants will have you wait at the door while they prepare your table to fit your party. I responded to her I will just take the booth and pulled a chair up as I had suggested to begin with. When they came to take the drink order only 2 in our party was there so I ordered a drink as did my son. These 2 drinks came quickly. I ordered a Captains Castaway. I honestly don't believe there was any alcohol in this drink. And was not worth the $7 dollars paid for it. When three rest of the party arrived we ordered the rest of the drinks. The serve took the order left and returned for our food order. My friend also ordered the Captains castaway. Everyone except my friend received their drinks right away. At this time I asked for napkins. My friend didn't receive her drink until the food came and again there was no alcohol in her drink either. When they put the silverware bags on the table the server just dropped them in the middle of the table instead of taking the time to put them at each seating. When the food finally arrived with my friends drink, I asked again for napkins because there was none in the silverware bags. Again we didn’t receive them. When the server can’t to check on us I had to ask a third time for napkins. By this time the 3 yr old had a huge mess because the first request for napkins wasn’t met. The food quality was at best just okay. I ordered an appetizer to share that had mini sliders. The beef was extremely dry due to over cooking. My friend ordered the original chili and it tasted as if it was over cooked also. When we finished we asked for the check which we received quickly but after 15 minutes of waiting for someone to come back we took the checks to the greeter to pay. Her response was we had to wait at the table for our server to take payment. We explained we already waited 15 minutes. Her response was to shrug and then took our payments to the back to complete the transaction. When she arrived back I told her that this was the worst experience that I’ve had in a long time. She smiled and shrugged again. This could all be explained away as a busy Friday night, except the restaurant was less than half full with no wait. Honestly, this should have been my first indication to visit a different restaurant. Again, I do not recommend visiting...

My family and I typically come to this Chili's and usually don't have any major issues, but the last time was unfortunate... To start I ordered a sweet tea. When it got to the table, the bottom of it was almost clear. I stirred it up and took one sip and sent it back. It seemed like it was half sugar syrup. I ordered regular tea and that tasted weird because this particular location seems to have issues with their water. Oh well...

On to the food. We ordered chips and salsa. The chips must have been the bottom of the bag, because it was mostly just tiny broken chips. The salsa is usually pretty thin, which is fine, but it was VERY watery. We couldn't even salt our chips because every salt shaker in the restaurant had wet salt in it. (This particular issue has been going on for at least a year. They must wipe inside the lids and then immediately close them. PLEASE get new salt shakers.)

Now the entrees... I ordered the 3 for me. The side salad came out after my burger and the cucumber in it tasted SO BAD, I had to spit it out. The Oldtimer was a little dry, but I managed. My son got the Cheeseburger Bites from the kids' menu, and for the last few months the kitchen has gotten lazy with them. There was barely any meat on them and there was no cheese - on the CHEESEburger bites. They didn't even bother to cut them apart. My mother ordered Southwestern Egg Rolls and street corn. The egg rolls came out cold and mushy. The last straw was the corn. It looked as if it had been cooked last week, refrozen the next day, and then cooked again that night. The corn was brown. It was gross.

The waitress was nice and tried to help, but the kitchen and the rest of the restaurant just needs some work. I think it might be a while before we go back to...

We were greeted and seated promptly uppn entering. There about 10 other booths/tables occupied in the whole restaurant, so I figured we would get our food really quick. The server was nice and knowledgeable about the menu options, but that is where the good service stopped. After waiting about 20 minutes our food was brought from the kitchen, but our server immediately noticed that my order was not correctly prepared. My sister was served and I got my salad and side item then had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the correct food. So of course I ate what I had then had to watch my sister eat. When the server brought my sister's food he told me my order was wrong and that the manager would come talk to me about it. Well that didn't happen until after the second plate was brought out, which was still not correctly prepared( I ordered medium well steak and got very well done). By the time it got to the table I was STARVING so I ate it. The manager offered to take it back and bring something else, but like I said I had already ate and was beyond ready to go. My sister ordered another meal to go to replace mine that was done incorrectly. We then had to wait another 15 minutes to get the check and pay. The worse part through all of this is the entire time I was waiting for my food and the check I had to listen to what sounded like a party going on in the kitchen. Probably would not have been so irritated if it was busy or of I saw them actually working while I was waiting on my order to be corrected. The manager really seemed like he did not feel like being bothered about me having to wait over 30 minutes to get the correct order. I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE a repeat customer!
