We had dinner across the street and since we are traveling and couldn't eat my own homemade ice cream, we tried La Michoacana Artisan. Wow! What a unique selection! Super creative flavors. Very colorful and a nice presentation. There was also a case of dairy free "ice cream" and some popsicles in each of the pretty colors. The owner, Misael, served us and he was super friendly. I definitely recommend this and we'll be going back again, if not every night of our stay. Well done! 🥂👏🍨🍧🍦
Update: We went back. B ordered Butterfinger and coconut and liked both. Then we got a third scoop... tiramisu. I am not even an ice cream fan..B is the ice cream lover..(I just make it for others and taste it). I will tell you that the tiramisu ice cream from La Michoacana was probably the MOST DELICIOUS ice cream I have EVER tasted!! Hats off to...
Read moreVery good ice cream. I liked the pistachio matcha one the best. Very thick and flavorful, you actually taste the matcha. The pistachios provide a nice crunch, They have other unique flavors and, I sampled about 4 and that was totally okay which was very nice. But pistachio matcha had the strongest flavor and best texture to me.
They have chocolate rocks! Awesome topping. 2 scoops cost me a little over $5 which is affordable compared to ice cream places in New York. And good size too. The owner was very nice. Such a cute shop and there is a gift shop attached. I came back a second day and got the pistachio Marcha cup $8.50 and added chocolate rocks to it. Very very good with the sauces, whipped cream, pocky and wafers they add. Thank you for being open in the winter for those who love ice...

Definitely not classic, but a unique and wonderful surprise of refreshing flavors and combinations. Cucumber Lime and Mango sorbet topped with fresh cucumbers and mango pieces, drizzled with tajin?! YES, PLEASE! Others in our group chose more classic flavors and after sampling each, I could clearly identify these were lovely homemade flavors rather than sourced classics. I'm excited to add this place to my list of "it's tradition to stop here" when passing through or staying...
