$8.00 for students (10 for non-learners,) to see the big history of this little (for now) town! And when I say big history, I mean it! Intricate Indian tapestries are preserved next to mining helmets, fossils, pianos, and uranium glassware. The history of this place is super ellucidating and really wows you at how connected and close together the past of everything is. It really puts you in the moment, so to speak, and it gives you a great appreciation for the local area. What I'm trying to say, is that if you like museums, art, Nitty-Gritty American history, or Moab, you'd probably like the Moab museum. The lady at the reception was also...

Small museum, big stories. - quoted by museum

The Moab Museum was a great place to learn about the history of the city of Moab! It describes the founding, uranium era, and the modern era of the city, and it includes hands-on interactive touchscreens, depicting pictures of each era. The collection includes some dinosaur tracks, old saddles and equipment, and more. There is also a temporary exhibit, and right now as of 11/22/2023 there is an exhibit about how the Dine made woven tapestries. Overall, a great museum depicting Moab's...

Small but mighty! Really well done museum with unique historical artifacts including indigenous baskets and pots, an apatosaurus femur and other treasures from time past. We learned alot, especially from the temporary exhibit on Moab’s first black settler. Good opportunity to talk with my homeschooled kids about how historians piece together profiles of people using a variety of primary sources. There are lots of kid friendly books, coloring pages and building materials to keep younger children busy. Very nice and...

We are locals and decided to stop in with my father in law who was visiting. It has changed so much since the last time we were here, but for the better! We walked around and read all the things and basically touched everything since we had lil kids with us. The lil boys and I played with the toys they had out for the kids and did a puzzle while dad and grandpa were still exploring. We didn’t feel like we were disturbing anyone. So glad we came in today❤️

This small museum is a powerful one with so much information and perspectives about the area, its culture, and history. When we visited they had a special exhibition on the internment of Japanese Americans during WW2. The history of Utah from early days to the Urannium mining book during the cold war is quite telling. Must visit to learn more about the region, although it is much smaller than I thought it would be.
