Intricate Indian tapestries are preserved next to mining helmets, fossils, pianos, and uranium glassware. The history of this place is super ellucidating and really wows you at how connected and close together the past of everything is. It really puts you in the moment, so to speak, and it gives you a great appreciation for the local area. The Moab Museum was a great place to learn about the history of the city of Moab! It describes the founding, uranium era, and the modern era of the city, and it includes hands-on interactive touchscreens, depicting pictures of each era. The collection includes some dinosaur tracks, old saddles and equipment, and more. We learned alot, especially from the temporary exhibit on Moab’s first black settler.
