⚠️ Beware of Overcharging and Unprofessional Behavior – Check Your Receipt!
Let me begin by saying that the lady who served us was kind and friendly, which initially gave us a good impression. The food tasted okay, not remarkable, but fine for a casual meal. However, I was disappointed to see everything served on thin, disposable paper plates, a downgrade compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve visited.
Now, here’s where things took a serious turn.
We noticed that the prices on our receipt didn’t match what was listed on the menu. For example, the red curry combo was advertised at around $15, but the receipt showed $16.59 plus tax. I politely asked why there was a difference. The server replied that the menu prices reflected the cash price, and what we were charged was the card price. Even then, the numbers didn’t add up. The “cash total” was only about $2 less than the card total, yet overall, we were charged more or less $8 more than what the menu prices should have totaled before taxes.
That felt deceptive. I wasn’t rude, just asked for clarification. But instead of fixing the discrepancy or apologizing, a man who claimed to be her friend (not the owner) started interfering. This individual became defensive, aggressive, and confrontational. Shockingly, after we left the restaurant, he attempted to follow our car for a short distance (until I pulled over somewhere), which was both disturbing and completely unacceptable.
Key Takeaways for Other Customers: • Double-check your receipt before paying. • Confirm whether prices listed are for cash or card payments. • Watch out for unexpected upcharges. • Be cautious of aggressive behavior if you raise concerns.
This experience went far beyond a simple billing error, it involved a lack of transparency, poor conflict resolution, and alarming conduct. I genuinely hope management addresses this behavior, but until then, I cannot...
Read moreFor such high prices I expect better service. I spent $26 for two people to eat. The food was good however being the only two people eating inside at the restaurant right at opening I would at least expect the cashier who is doing nothing to bring me my drink instead of rudely interrupting my conversation with my wife to come get it. When I said something about price not matching service I was told that this is a fast food place. Unfortunately the service does not match the price or the look of the place as the general look of the comfortable seating screams sit down restaurant. I did not feel very welcomed by the person at the counter, more like I was a inconvenience for expecting more from her and the restaurant at the price point. Also, though I didn't try it, they did not have any sushi available at opening as they had not made it yet. Additionally, thought it is supposed to be fast food per the person at the counter that wouldn't bring me my drink, it has the wait times of a sit down restaurant (We got there at 11 a.m and got our food at 11:30 a.m). Be...
Read moreThis would have been mediocre/okay, worth probably 3.5 stars, except for one major thing. The chicken pad thai was weird and disappointing, just sauce and noodles and thin strips of chicken. Pad thai is normally loaded up with vegetables so we're saving and doctoring-up the leftovers. The thai tea is good but everything else we ordered was just alright. Not the best thai food I've ever had but not the worst, until we ate the avocado roll. Now, I'm glad that the employees wash their hands. But I know that they wash their hand because three or so pieces of our roll tasted like soap. Somebody didn't rinse long enough. I would have gone here again even though the overall food experience was just so-so (I love thai tea and, again, theirs was good) but I can't go to a place again after being given soapy food. Not writing this place off completely for other people. Hopefully anybody else who goes there will have a better experience than we did. I just don't think I can ever go there...
