Dodge's Southern Style — Restaurant in Mobile

I already love Dodge's, been a long-time customer since they opened up many moons ago. Love the crispitos, egg rolld with a side of check cashing and decent gas prices. However, idk where ya'll found Houston, but he is the ginger ray of happy sunshine ya'll need in the middle of the night! Not knocking anyone else customer service, but I love a good almost aggressively-friendly, polite, professional, quick, customer - oriented front line worker. I'm a hotel manager. Had a long, rough day, feeling like I shouldnt be so friendly, because I always have to be so serious and deal with people when they're at they're worst most days, especially lately. I walked in Dodges, didnt speak because I didnt want to, I was in my feelings, but Houston greets you from the door - loud but friendly as heck. I was so pleased. Was attentive to everyone ahead of me. He moves like he's on his 3rd of 4 Red bulls, with the quick thinking and efficiency with a smile and commanding friendliness that I need to go find again in myself. I was so impressed that I had to tell him that he's so friendly, don't EVER change that. I pray life doesn't life the way it does to force him to change from being a ray of sunshine in somebodies dark night. Stay that way, Houston. Give that man a raise of at minimum $5 more dollars PER hour. He deserves it. I'll be back at night just for some kindess when its needed. Or when I want a crispito and an...

I called ahead to order some spicy wings and was greeted on the phone by a very pleasant young man, named Trey, Trey assured me that my order would be ready when I arrived. When I walked in the store I was greeted by two smiles, one being Trey, and the other Chandrea. He knew I was the one that ordered the wings and while he was helping another customer, Chandrea readily began getting our order together. Her customer service skilled were superb and extremely friendly. Our food was fresh and delicious....everything was just as we had hoped. We didn't expect the customer service that we received from these two young people. But, I couldn't let these two go unnoticed. I specifically stopped to try a breakfast biscuit. I had a coupon and when the total was higher than I expected, I questioned it and clerk pointed out the ‘sale price’ I was looking at was on a specific DAY. My bad. I asked for my coupon back and would come back on that day. The clerk told me she already had it rung up. (Talking to me without looking at me - ) I should have just walked out but I was really looking forward to trying the good food so I paid more than twice as much- even with the coupon- than I could have gotten a biscuit elsewhere. To my further disappointment, the biscuit was doughy and gummy, no flavor, and the chicken on the biscuit was soggy.
