Wedding Catering Review:
We had a lot of things go wrong at our wedding: -Only two servers were sent for a 150 people wedding. When they got there they had no idea what they were supposed to do! They did not know it was set up and serve, when to set up, or when to serve the food. Because of the confusion, my husband had to take time away from taking pictures to address this confusion. -We were told that drink dispensers would be provided for the tea and lemonade. When we got our food, my husband and I noticed that the drinks were off in the kitchen and not at the serving table! We had to get our coordinators to put those out! -Most of the food was warm; however, we were told by a few guests that the chicken tender platters were cold. -A small order of ribs was forgotten. These were meant just for the groom, groomsmen, and fathers. My husband didn't even get to eat any because they were late! The manager had to bring them and he did not talk to either me or my husband when he stopped by. He only talked to the coordinator. -The servers did not know we had added cake cutting. A few guests also complained about the way the cake was cut. When we talked to the manager about this, he said he was going to let go of the fact that we had "3 separate cakes". Instead of having a giant cake with multiple tiers, we just separated the tiers out. I personally do not see a difference between a giant wedding cake with 5-6 tiers versus one where the tiers are separated. -We stopped by the local branch quite a few times to decide what we want and discuss costs. We were told by both the general manager and one of the assistant managers that the cost quoted to us included gratuity. Turns out that was incorrect, and we had to pay more than expected the day of. Both of them denied that they told us that gratuity was included, nor do we have proof that they told us that. Either way, that was extra money I was not expecting to spend, especially right before our honeymoon! -I will say both the general manager and the assistant manager did reach out to us and compensated us for the troubles. Unfortunately, you cannot fix multiple mistakes that happened on such a big day! -We love the local branch and that's why we decided to use them! The food and service is always good when we visit the restaurant. We will continue to visit the local branch, but will probably not use them for catering an...
Read moreWe were a party of 7 from Michigan, Georgia, Ohio, and Florida at the Mobile, Alabama location on Schillinger Rd. The bill was $147.23 . The BABY BACK RIBS hats off to the PITMASTER Calvin Bryant who by the way the waitress didn't know the restaurant had one. She said we have a cook .I said ma'am his name is on entry door. The okra was awesome. The waitress service was not up to par. The green beans cold out the can, macaroni taste gummy and bleachy,,baked beans tasted like uncooked pork n beans, with watery bbq sauce, coleslaw dried out, French fries were hard. The chicken drumetttes were hard cold nothing fell off the bone. The brisket old hard like chalkboard eraser. The managers need training. They mixed old and new meat. One manager has terrible body odor and discolored teeth he brought us someone else food.how could a staff member hygiene be terrible but serve food. We smelled him as he passed our table several times. The waitress brought a burned sweet potato.. we requested better side dishes and each times the waitress came from the kitchen it was one terrible side dish after another one. My daughter said the French fries were cold. We threw the food away . Mt nephew wanted a half a slab of ribs and waitress brought out 3 ribs. She began argue with him to the point where his wife intervened and asked her to stop being disrespectful. I cant understand how an employee can work at Sonny's BBQ and smell like poop. His mouth greeted us before the food. I can only imagine him breathing and talking over customers food and drinks. I liked the setting just not the piss poor service, although LeAnn i believe is her name came out to table. The communication is poor with...
Read moreCame here last night, they had a packed waiting room, plenty of tables, but only one person seating customers, one at a time, so it took 5-10 minutes to get seated. Once we were seated, the waitress never came. We sat there 15 minutes waiting, but then I saw a couple get seated a couple tables over, and the lady who's section we were sitting in, went right to them before us, and they just walked in, and we had been there a while. I tried to get her attention and she brushed us off, after she done a few things for other tables, she finally walks over, and we told her we've been there 15 minutes, and the table she just took orders from just arrived. She says she didn't see us, and I'm thinking, this is your section, if you knew how to do your job that you've been hired to do, you would know to open your eyes and know your tables. She asked what we wanted to drink, we told her we wanted to go ahead and order, and she said you'll have to give me a minute, and walked away. We just got up and left, went across the street to Golden Corral. Smh if I could, I would have fired her, and kicked her in her A** on her way out the door! She should be in the back with a mop in her hand, not waitressing. If I go back, I'll dodge her section like the plague. She dosnt belong here, everyone else is always on point. First time seeing this pathetic mf'er there. Hopefully, she won't be there long. I also watch people that ordered the all you can eat ribs, put in a order for more, and only get three more ribs, and have to tell them to bring more, shaking their heads. So they end up sending more, than they would if they would have just sent five the first time. Losing a dollar trying to...
