I come to Taqueria all the time but this was the first time I have ever had a problem. Me and 3 of my coworkers came in around 2:30. There may have been five other tables already seated. After we were seated, we waited almost ten minutes before a server came to take our drink orders. We gave her our food orders with the drink orders. While we were waiting for drinks and food. Two other tables were seated. The patrons were greeted immediately. One table received their drinks and food before we got our drinks. We had to ask three different servers for bowls for salsa. I asked the server to ask to kitchen to pack our food Togo because we had been waiting for a long time and no longer had the time to eat. She told us it was already plated and in turn I asked her to bring to go plates along with our food. Another five minutes went by and she still had not brought the food out. One of my coworkers went up to the server to ask her about the hold up. She informed us that they were putting the food in togo boxes anyway. Another server brought the bags of food to the table rolling her eyes as if we had done something to her. We asked for extra bags and she proceeded to stomp off. I stated that her attitude was horrible and she asked what I said so I repeated myself. She stated that she didn’t have an attitude but was frustrated with us saying we weren’t the only table being served. I responded saying there was no reason for her to be frustrated considering she wasn’t our server and we were the ones being treated badly. She got angry and told us we could go without paying for our food. Considering we were the only black people in the building, I hate to feel like we were being treated badly on purpose but it sure did seem that way. Safe to say I will not be returning to Taqueria, I’m highly disappointed and my...
Read moreBE AWARE... Very disappointed! We were 4 adults and spent $85 on dinner the other night but got charged $104. The server put supposedly 15 percent gratuity or tip on the bill but if you do the math correctly $19 is not the 15 percent of $85, Is it?😡 That was what he charged us, he's putting between 20-25 percent gratuity on his bills and telling the clients that is 15 percent and if you don't do the math, then you won't notice it; but to me that's not gratuity, to me that's stealing from the clients and he sure does not deserve to get that money from clients specially when the service is not the best. This is not the first time we come to eat at the restaurant but with what the servers are doing, I really think that you would loose a lot of clients. Specially when they should not include the gratuity or tip on their own, that's something that the client should give depending upon the service render to them or maybe on big parties, not on a table of 4 or less. Not only do we always get the unfriendly servers but we always have to be looking for them when we need something else at the table, and have to ask for the things 2 or 3 times before they bring what we need to the table. I have never said anything before but I think that this time was the limit and clients need to know as well as the owner of the restaurant so you will be on the lookout for it. We ended up paying the $104 dollars because my friends didn't want to make a fuss about it and the owner had just left, but I think that everyone deserves to know what is going on with the service. Very disappointed!!! The only star, I gave it to the cooks since the food is pretty decent, but the front bad servers are really bringing down the...
Read moreStumbled upon this Mexican Gem !!!! Plenty of parking ! Don’t let the outside fool you! It’s a restaurant and grocery store combo. Here our first experience: Smiling faces greeting us ( restaurant mixed guest ratio /all ethnic groups ) Clean Happy Mexican National color themed throughout and well lighted . There is a nice bar ( some tv screens / not loud/ sports ) . Due to regulations ( COVID 19) they expanded table availability into the grocery section ( which is kind of kool honestly) . They will seat you onto clean tables and chairs and hand you CLEAN menus. You are asked choices of drinks before you are even sitting . Once ( 2 min later ) dinks came we got complementary chips and salsa ( FRESH !!! ) Once we placed our food order we saw how this place turns table quickly !!! That place is buzzing with dine in and take out orders ! As we got our food ( lunch menu California burrito and Fajitas ) the Burrito is HUGE - and the Red Sauce OMG OMG - authentic Smokey chili tangy - hands down best sauce I ever had here in USA or Mexico ! No greasy or dried out chicken. Everything FRESH and made with that extra ingredient you get from Momma or Grandma. Asked for extra salsa and chips - no problem ! Service came twice to ensure we liked what we ate and had drinks! This is one of these „Bigger“ Holes in the Wall ( meant in a good way) that is so worth it to come to. Now if you are a fine dining person - this is not your place ! If you are a flavor casual person - this...
