I've been with geico for 7/8 yrs never had any issues until now. I added my (then )16 yr old (licensed)daughter to my policy when I got her 1st car. Almost a year later I get text saying my bill (which was $360/mo for full coverage on my car and liability on my daughter and her car) saying that my bill was now $697. I was like ummm no that's not right I call and they say they just realized my daughter had a driver's license, and the extra $330 is for her. Ummm....huh? No...I added her as a licensed driver? They wouldn't justify me paying over $500/mo for my daughter or why I was never notified of this or anything. They weren't coming off that price. So I said ok fine I'll get her insured else where, give me a quote for the full coverage on my car Dee quoted me $180. I said great let me see what I can find for my daughter somewhere else that sounds good to me. I find a better deal for my daughter and when I call to remove her and take the $180 per mo on my car they couldn't find my quote. Removed my daughter and her car but my insurance payment went down by $30. It's more than what I was paying before I even added her to my policy. No one can give me a straight answer as to why I got quoted $180 and my bill is still higher than it should be without a young driver on my policy. A supervisor has refused to speak with me until April 22nd. Which I've been dealing w this for 2 weeks now. Which the 22nd is conveniently the last day I can drop anything before being charged. Geico ain't saving you anything they are incompetent rude and unrealistic. Extremely bad business I'd give 0 stars if I could. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND Someone should take that lizard back...
Read moreI was with Geico since I started driving at the age of 16. (now I’m 40) I never had a ticket, never was involved in an accident, and always paid my coverage on time. I was the perfect customer and I thought Geico was the perfect car insurance company. On March 22, 2019 a young lady hit my car from behind as I waited at a red light. Long story short, the young lady was arrested for leaving the scene of accident and DUI. To top it off, her insurance had already laps and she the car she was driving was her cousin. (and the car was not register) I got Geico involved because I thought this would make the situation go faster and better. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! I’m sorry, Gieco clams department had a personality but very incompetent. I was on the phone with Geico for an hour and a half proving information about both parties that was involved. I also faxed the police report to Gieco, since they stated it sometimes take them weeks to get the report. Starting the next day, I was receiving emails and phone calls from Gieco stating they needed more information. Keep in mind, the extra information they needed was the information I already provided. They was calling me for a week asking the same questions that I already answered several times. They never tried to contact the other parties that was involved; they told me they rather wait until I get my car fix first. When I did talk to the claim department, I got a different reason why this wasn’t done every single time. Oh course, I dropped them and went somewhere else. Geico may save you 15%, but they will screw you when you need them. So is that...
Read moreAwful!!!!! Customer service just terrible!!! I spoke with Christie on 3/18/22 when she called and we discussed a quote that my husband and my self were looking at online. I told her that I was just moving to my home and I would call her back. Well fast forward I called today and she was very standoffish and rude. She basically told me that she couldn’t talk to or honor quote because we spoke with someone online on 3/30/2022, which was not true. She nastily went on to tell me that something was mailed out to me on 3/30/2022 and couldn’t even verify the address. I said well I guess that’s okay and she hung up in my face. So I signed up for coverage online and had no problems. I’m so glad I’m not with that office and please think twice before you do. I’m glad I don’t have to deal with her and I will make sure I follow up with whoever the broker is.
UPDATE…..THE OWNER/AGENT DID REACH OUT TO ME AND EXPRESS HIS CONCERN AND WAS APOLOGETIC. IT DIDN’T CHANGE NECESSARILY HOW I FELT AND WAS TREATED. BE CAUTIOUS WITH WHO YOU DEAL WITH...
