Mediterranean Sandwich Co. Airport — Restaurant in Mobile

I went there on 6/12/2020. When we walked in there was no one else in line so we figured it would be fairly quick. We ordered and were told it would be 10-15 minutes. 45 minutes later we were still sitting there. I saw the woman behind the counter look up at me and her eyes got big. She handed another customer their food and told me that the conecuh sausage just got finished and mine would be up soon. I'm not a food expert, but I know conecuh doesn't take that long to cook. When we finally got our food we took it home to eat. I had 3 different orders with two being the same so I opened them to make sure I had the right one. If you have only one meal to eat, anywhere in Mobile, Alabama, Mediterranean Sandwich Company (Airport) is definitely that one place for that special meal. The staff are amazing! They are friendly, happy, and helpful. The place is clean from ceiling vents and fans to the floors and bathroom. And, most importantly, the food is delicious with a lovely spice. My spouse and I eat a whole food, plant-based, diet and we left most satisfied. We arrived a bit worse for wear and left refreshed and ready for our very long drive from Texas to Delaware. 1st time there & Just ok. We ordered takeout. I had the red neck schawarma—chicken was hard and dry (they use drk meat which is usually supposed to be moist so maybe it had been there awhile?)—which makes the gyro and with that part not being good—kinda ruined the entree—not much cheese but the rest of the ingredients were fresh. My daughter had the chicken philly and greek salad (they didn’t put the lid all the way on the dressing and it spilled out in the bag but the tiny bit left tasted pretty good (just disappointing that no dressing for the salad).
