Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Modesto

I ordered a medium combo - beef-sausage+pineapple. The girl said 20 minutes. So I went outside as my dog was in the car. Then I went next door to look at the music please. So as I came back in the girl behind the counter was helping some other people she told the guy that works there to check on my pizza he said 5 more minutes already been 20 minutes. No problem, so I was just standing around and I walked over to where you can see the oven and pizza there was a round Pizza tray on the end of the pizza oven rack that was keeping the pizza from coming completely out of the oven and I sat and watched and waited for somebody to move it and nobody did the girl from the counter seen me so she came back there and she grabbed my pizza was putting it in the box and I noticed there was no pineapple on pizza so I told her so they threw a bunch of pineapple in the oven and put my pizza to the side so here we go another 15 minutes and she tells the people in the back to get my pizza ready when the pineapple comes out but once again they didn't do anything back there the guy was too busy talking on the phone his personal phone so here comes the girl from behind the counter again you should grabs my pizza puts on the pineapple and gives me my pizza I asked her for paper plates when she told me she was going to give me before all this happened and I was looking at my pizza and from it being stuck in the oven halfway half of it was burnt I didn't even bother to say anything at the time because I didn't have time to wait another 20 to 30 minutes worst Pizza service ever I do not recommend this place. Ps I almost forgot$30 for a medium Pizza outrageous should have went to Little Caesars across the street cheaper and probably...

Went here to get dinner for the 4th because the rest of the house preferred this place. For some strange reason, the Hawaiian pizza doesn't count as a specialty even though its on the specialty list, so I couldn't use my coupon for this overpriced bland junk. They didn't have my salad ready, and I gave them plenty of time before I even left to pick it all up. And, to top it all off, when the guy behind the counter said he was going to go make my salad, I watched him "wash his hands" WITHOUT SOAP!

I'm not unfamiliar with the disguising things that goes on in these places; I worked for them once. No one uses soap for anything, hands or dishes. No one cleans the nozzles on the fountain drink dispensers and allow mold to grow in them. The "refrigerated line" which held all of the toppings didn't actually work. It's frankly amazing they haven't been shut down by a class action suit for mass food poisoning! The moment I saw this level of negligence behind the counter, I left and didn't look back.

Go to Pizza Guys on Oakdale rd and Scenic. They do not tolerate dirty hands OR dishes, and they maintain their equipment. Worked there for two years and loved that the owner actually cared about everything the perfect amount. If Mountain Mike's was the last pizza joint in the world, I'd start making my own before I'd ever even give these lazy bums the time of day. I ordered pizza and churros on line from the McHenry location. When they arrived almost 2 hours later and after it rode around in the back seat of the delivery car for over 20 minutes ( the restaurant is 1.5 miles from us); the pizza and churros arrived, cold.

I called to talk to the manager and got a shift leader. She said the manager will call me tomorrow.

Mountain Mike’s is one of the more expensive pizza places in town.

This location- it’s not worth the $$$$. Call a different location or Dominos.

We have ordered several times from the Standiford location and have been very pleased every time. I tried emailing you and the email address is not recognized. The manager of the McHenry location was supposed to call me today. What a joke. Not a word, but I’m not surprised.

Never again. It’s getting close to never purchasing from any location.

This whole transaction really upset my entire household last night. We are caregivers to my 88 year old mom who has Alzheimer’s. When her routine gets disturbed, she has a very difficult time settling down. She also was reacting to my husband and I getting increasingly upset the longer we waited for what ended up to be cold, nasty pizza and churros.
