Smoothie King — Restaurant in Mokena

Awesome smoothies. I was there the same day as *J. The manager did announce that they were short 3 people. Two of were call offs and one left sick. Despite these shortcomings with four people left staffing the store, they were able to get the smoothies made in under 3 minutes. The manager even acknowledge that there were two large walk in orders one for 20 smoothies and another for an order of 10. Despite this very difficult situation on one of their very busiest of days, the team and the manger did a great job of making the smoothies. They provided great customer service to every customer and greeted everyone with a smile. The manager Brian is always professional, polite, and helpful both to customers and his team members. Brian was very helpful in sorting out the issue with two people with the same name and similar smoothie order . There was no mix up, I saw one customer just impatiently grab the wrong smoothie. So I find the comments to have inaccurate information and bias. If feedback is left, it should be based on facts and not bias against the manager or team members. I saw an efficient team deliver friendly guest service despite being short the 3 team members on this day. Usually love this place. Service is good, smoothies are perfect. Not a good experience tonight. Walked in at 7:30, all the chairs and tables were pushed against the wall in front of the garbage, bathroom door had a mop and bucket holding it open, with a sign saying not to use them,(forget the exact wording), and no employees in sight. Stood there for a minute or two before two young ladies came out from the back. After we placed our order we asked if we could move the chairs to sit down and one of the girls, said "No, do you mind", this was after complaining that they don't get out 'til 11 some nights, so they were starting to clean early. Couldn't reach the garbage to throw straw wrappers away, (chairs and table were shoved in front) and had to drink our smoothies ($15 for two) outside standing up, (along with other customers). Am thinking there was nothing wrong with bathroom, they just said that because they cleaned it already. Owner's a very pleasant, friendly man. Don't think he knows this...

I previously posted a negative review with photos for the Smoothie King located in Tinley Park so for comparison I wanted to share my experience at this location. The employees are actually friendly and quick to help. The photos show what my smoothie bowl looks like EVERY SINGLE TIME that I order it from the Mokena location. They do it right! I typically mobile order it and by the time I get home to eat it, it's still frozen but soft enough to eat. I live about 10 min away from this location so these photos were taken after mobile ordering, picking up, and driving home before opening to take the pics. Clearly a HUGE difference between the SMOOTHIE SOUP that I received from the Tinley location. The Mokena location does not have a drive thru and though most people prefer the convenience of a drive thru, take the extra time to walk in and visit this location next time you're in the mood for a smoothie.
