Disappointing. I visited the Orland location for the first time a few weeks ago for celebrating birthdays and graduations. It was great! I drive down Lagrange and see another location in Mokena. Even Greater! It's actually closer to me. Today (6/24/19) i ordered 2 carryout dinners. One just chicken Hibachi...but the other for me because I had it before, I decided to be the big spender and do the chicken, steak, and shrimp and upgraded to shrimp fried rice for $4.50....Ummm I am kinda upset....first, 2 shrimp are supposed to come with dinner...collectively in my dinner it is 5 shrimp...oh and upgraded shrimp fried rice only had 2 shrimp...the other chicken hibachi meal, the shrimp weren't even included. Nothing has the authentic hibachi taste I am used to. Noodles are bland. Meat is just heavily sprinkled with pepper..and the meat and vegetables are in a liquid I am unfamiliar with. Unsure if this is a location issue, chef issue, carry out vs eating in issue...whatever the case. For the money I spent, time, and DISTANCE to get out there, I am pretty peeved to see I paid 4.50 for basically plain fried rice and 50 bucks for watery gravy and bland food...not to mention being skimped on my meat. I wanted this to be a 5 star and my new place to enjoy great food....alas, it did not work out that wayššš¤¦š½āāļø...I will wait to see how the other person...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really donāt like giving 1 star reviews but my experience here was very disappointing. We got the tempura vegetables, general Tsoās chicken and shrimp pad Thai. The vegetable tempura was decent-it was hot and freshly battered but the vegetables underneath weāre dry and old. The general Tsoās chicken was hard, dry and precooked. It came out ice cold and the sauce was disgustingly sweet and gelatinous. It was the worst Chinese food Iāve had. The fried rice it came with was hot but it didnāt taste right-it had a strange sweet taste. The pad Thai was different from any pad Thai we have had. It literally had a pink color and was drowning in sauce. The shrimp smelled and was not fresh. We didnāt eat the dishes. The restaurant itself was dirty and every surface was sticky. The restaurant had a familiar bad smell to it-it reminded me of old diners or failing chain restaurants like Applebeeās. Maybe the sushi is better but at this point I would not trust it. I would avoid the Chinese dishes and Thai dishes at this restaurant at the very least. Service was below average. We always tip very well at restaurants but I didnāt like how they hid the 18% gratuity. They called it a service charge. If I didnāt see it on the door walking in I may have missed it. Locations are going up everywhere but they really need to turn...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been eating at Wu's for years and most of the time the food is great. There have been times where it was a bit bland or dry, but the inconsistency was never bad enough where we would stop eating there, until yesterday. The order we made prior to this was less than good quality so I was already a little apprehensive to order from here but decided to give it one more try. We ordered sushi rolls for delivery and upon opening the first container, you could smell the fishiness of the food (no pun intended). I took one bite and the roll was rancid. Not an exaggeration, it wasn't that it tasted bad, it was actually spoiled. I contacted Grubhub immediately and got a refund for that roll. I took bites from a few other rolls and some were dry and you could tell were old, others were again at the point of the food turning rancid. It's obvious they did not serve us fresh food and possibly food that was several days old. I was curious to see if anyone had a similar experience and as I read other reviews, it seems they are developing a pattern of trying to turn out beyond less than fresh or quality food. My food was absolutely disgusting and the fact that they would let food go out that way, I have decided to never...
