Amici Monroe — Restaurant in Monroe

I have eaten here a few times and the atmosphere is nice and welcoming and you can eat outside if you wish or upstairs at the bar if you are so inclined. The food here is usually pretty good albeit somewhat pricey. This review is not really about their food, however, it is just to complain about one of their "promotions," their $.60 wing Wednesday.

We arrived here around 4:00 but didn't leave until around 5:30 and were charged full price for our 12 wings, $12.99 since we supposedly got there before the promotion started at 4:00 and ordered 12 wings instead of 10 which is the increment that most people order them in. A $.60 wing is a $.60 wing and their daily special blackboard just stated that it started at 4:00 and was for dine-in only.

If your deal is only good if you order wings in certain multiples then please write that rule out on your huge blackboard but don't punish your customers for ordering something that the menu only gives you the option of ordering 6 or 12 of. I hope it was worth it for them to lose a customer and for me to write a negative review over the additional $5 they made through their wing stipulations and trickery.

While I thought I was cheap this place is perhaps even cheaper and don't count on taking advantage of their daily specials unless you explicitly ask what multiples you are allowed to order in, and even then if your food is priced wrong your server will just argue with you and claim that you are in the wrong, not them. I do not like being taken advantage of by businesses, especially over something so misleading, and if you don't, either I would caution you from eating here unless you don't mind being overcharged and taken for every...

Me and my daughter went April 8 to eat At this restaurant At about 5 o’clock. The place was not busy more than half their tables were empty And a whole section behind the bar was closed with nobody Setting in it. We Waited At least 15 minutes to get seated when we finally got seated, it took another 15 minutes just to put in our drink orders and appetizer order. Our food comes out but no appetizer so I just told them to take it off the bill of course and then our entrées were just pasta and dried chicken. We ordered the Alfredo with chicken. It was terrible. But I looked back at the menu and it was supposed to have garlic bread as well, so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came out real young girl thought she was a bus boy and explain to her that we did not get our appetizers and when we got our meal, it was not complete to what we ordered and she said with attitude that they’re extremely busy and they’re short staffed and I said, I understand being shortstaffed, but have an incomplete meals And no appetizer But yet y’all are expecting me to pay full price for bad service and missing food. She said that she would take the appetizer off and I said, of course she will. We did not receive it. Anyways, long story short do not waste your time coming here. It is terrible all around. And get an attitude from a Childlike manager is annoying especially after you have received terrible service. Can’t believe this place is still in business. If this is how they do. My husband and I walked in on Saturday afternoon around 4:55, and the restaurant was not crowded. The hostesses didn’t acknowledge us at first while we stood there waiting trying to make eye contact . They were talking on that stage behind the hostess bar. Then, finally, one girl, came over and told us no pizza would be served for an hour to hour and a half due to large catering order. What a greeting! Lol. I think she was trying to deter us from staying. We said okay. Then I asked for a table that wasn’t along that long bench where you have to sit so closely to people you don’t know. Because it wasn’t crowded, and isolated tables were available (at least 4-5), I felt it shouldn’t be a problem. The hostess acted like I asked for a table of gold. She rolled her eyes, and said, what’s the difference, a table is a table. Then she walked off leaving us standing there. She said she had to ask if we could sit at another table. So we just left… walked out because we don’t want to support a restaurant with such rude behavior. She acted like we were inconveniencing her. My husband and I eat/drink there probably once a week. We probably spend $200-300 a month there. I guess they don’t need our business. We left and went over to Broadstreet Tavern and it was packed, but still we were greeted nicely and the service and food were wonderful! I guess we’ve found a new go to place to spend our money!
