Coffee Camper, out of all the coffee shops I have visited throughout the years, always exceeds my expectations- no matter what drink or variety of flavors I decide to try in my coffee that day. Recently remodeled, this local store in Monroe, GA is a blend of coffee shop and outdoor store. As soon as you open the door, you will be met with a pleasant coffee aroma, a warm greeting, and an inviting atmosphere that makes you want to go on an adventure: This is a guarantee. Some aspects of what makes this coffee shop stand out from the rest are the quality of their ingredients, the experience that starts as soon as you turn that door-handle, and the sociable, welcoming baristas that seem to perfect every single drink they make.
One of the downsides of going to a big-chain restaurant (whether that is Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, etc.) is that you never really know where those ingredients come from. Coffee Camper is exceedingly clear that their coffee is locally sourced- check their website! You can trust that when you spend your money here that you are getting your dollar’s worth. Buying a cup of coffee at Coffee Camper not only supports the shop, but local business and its partners. Their avocado toast holds the title of “the best avocado toast I have ever had in my life,” and pairing that with one of their fruit smoothies (made with real fruit) makes for very happy taste-buds. Quality is a given when you purchase from Coffee Camper.
Upon arrival, it is evident that the atmosphere within this store is different than any other coffee shop. I cannot recall an instance where I begrudgingly waited for my order. In fact, within the time that it takes for your drink to be prepared, there is an abundance of activities and clothes to browse (local brands or big-name outdoor companies- courtesy of Elevate Outfitters of course). Furthermore, have I mentioned that they have a rock-wall in the shop? Whether you are a beginner or an expert rock climber, everyone is invited to attempt the many bouldering routes available to customers. The spirit of this store is eccentric.
For the customers looking to slow down and decompress, you have a place in this store as well. Although there are many intricacies to this shop, by no means does it stagger your ability to focus. Come to Coffee Camper and read a book, complete your school-work, and ultimately be productive. There are a few areas in which you can isolate yourself if you choose. Not only is Coffee Camper an eccentric and relaxed environment, but a safe one as well. The option to open up, let your guard down, and enjoy yourself is definitely present. All of these factors add to the customer’s experience while enjoying a great cup of coffee.
There is one thing that can make or break a customer’s experience unlike any other: the service from the employees. These baristas are memorable, caring, and extraordinarily personable. I have had countless experiences where they have put a massive smile on my face. This reason alone is a big reason why I choose to support this business over others. They are willing to talk to you about your struggles, brighten up your day with laughter, or if you are lucky, you could get an avocado toast on the house- Thank you Jackie! Be assured that you will be treated with kindness, respect, and love when you enter this shop.
In conclusion, Coffee Camper is a local coffee shop that offers high quality drinks, community, and an unforgettable experience. Go out and give it a try! Read moreSo, I felt So bad for the poor girl who was helping us today. I ordered a Large Iced Latte, and they put it in incorrectly as a small cold brew. I corrected it and told them what I ordered and they made a small iced latte. I apologized and explained that I ordered a large (really needed the large I ordered this morning). The poor girl came back and said her boss told her they made another small and said I could poor the two together…. The Boss should have come over here to tell me that but also, I ordered a large French vanilla iced latte and never got it after spending $22 on two coffees, a muffin, and a bacon cheddar biscuit. I am extremely dissatisfied and won’t be back to a place you can’t get what you ordered the third...
Read moreThis Coffee shop is by far the best shop in Monroe. While I am a bit biased since I worked here I truly believe the people here love the customers and love making coffee and I can personally attest to that. The shop offers artisan coffee and also sweeter coffee for those who prefer a nice treat. On Weekends the shop offers pastries from independent bakery in Athens Georgia. They also source empanadas and other pastries from around Georgia. The staff is super friendly and always want everyone to have a great experience. Here’s some coffees from my time here just to see what to expect when you come in! Saturdays are super busy but coming during the week is a great time to...
