You know when you're out of the United States. And you ask a "Local" where they go to eat.? You know the foods gonna be good and *Home " feel. That's Pot Luck . Laid back, home town feel. Full of Tradesmen for breakfast and lunch. And older generation. Always busy. Servers bust their butts to get everyone served. There is no work for yourself. Everyone helps out each other. . Their lunch is fair. The breakfast is wonderful. Breakfast is a special meal to me. It's "Home" to me. Breakfast tastes different in all different regions. Cheeseburger always taste like a cheeseburger. But breakfast is a whole different experience. The prices is non commercial. He has set his prices to the clientele. The working man (Tradesmen) and the retired. He is providing a service to his community. It needs updating. But it makes it quaint. It's clean!! And just for that. Who cares. It's clean. You can't get that from waffle house. Lol. I'm a regular now. Not because the food is fantastic. Because it's a "small town * mom and pop restaurant. And I don't want to see them gone. Read moreI used to love this place but this is the second time we've been turned away getting there right before closing time. Jackie is absolutely wonderful and has been working there since I was a child and is always trying to accommodate. Buy the waitress that was there when we walked in got very snippy with us, wanting to know if we had already ordered, and making comments about us barely making it before they close. It was 1:25 and they technically close at 1:30, but the open light is always on until 1:30 and it is so everyone is done eating by 2:00. Before anyone thinks this is rude on my part to expect to walk in at 1:25 and be served, I wanted to explain that. They were out of most of their lunch sides and we were willing to take substitution of french fries only to then get an attitude from the kitchen that they had already turned the fryer off and were cleaning it! So while I love the food and have loved the food since I was a child, I will never be going back again...
Read moreWhile I appreciate the fact that they are very very busy, I stood at the register in front of the young man that was apparently running it for 10 minutes before I was acknowledged. A nod, one finger held up to indicate I'll be right with you in a minute or one of the servers that passed me and said excuse me numerous times is good for business. We all want to be seen especially when we desire spend our money. The young man did offer me a complimentary soda after I spoke to him about how long I stood there unacknowledged.
