This was a really horrible experience. I tried not to dwell on something I ultimately cannot control at this point, but the more time I’ve had to reflect, the more I’m realizing how shady and unethical my experience was. Before I get into it, here is a note for the general good (and I see a similar review regarding this): if you are booking online and are new to the salon or service, I suggest calling and asking for clarification. I was pleasantly surprised to see prices customized to designated employees when booking online, but when I got there, the stylist pulled out her calculator and tacked on an additional $80. For clarity, I booked a balayage and cut. In MAJORITY situations, a balayage is followed up with a color correction (toner, glaze, etc.) I will admit fault in that it is not technically included in the description, but the transparency of an “add-on” being necessary in most situations for this service is not included.
For my personal experience: I did not receive what I asked for…at all. The technique was lacking. I realize some use foils for balayage, but I got partial highlights. She barely teased my hair and almost the entirety of the back of my head aside from the first inch is a block of my natural color. The first round of the alleged $80 glaze was not remotely close to what I asked for, and I was almost gaslit into being told it was. My hair was yellow-orange, and she said that the reference imagine had copper undertones. That’s not the same thing… Her follow up was, “I want you to love it,” so she took me back to do another glaze. It obviously developed a little bit darker tone but still not there. Everything that followed felt dirty. She trimmed layers into my hair before the second glaze. She asked how I felt about the length, and I said I liked it. Then she left me with someone to dry my hair while she attended to another client. I’d think at this stage of continuous mistakes, as a professional, you’d give it your all, not cower away. As she left, I asked if she was done with the cut, and she said she was and she’d make corrections when it’s dry. It was a near blunt cut. Not what I asked for. My hair is much thicker than the reference image, but there is no comparison. And if she felt she couldn’t achieve it, she should’ve admitted that. Also, at the beginning she’d asked about my bangs, and I told her I like them but want them trimmed and she added she’d frame my face. She hadn’t done that. When she came back to finish the blow dry, she handed me a mirror, and I had to ask her to finish the cut that we’d both discussed. I eventually gave up because it was a lost cause. Even after nearly 30mins of 2 people blow drying my hair, by the time I left, the back of my head was still damp and the collar of my shirt was wet. (There was never a towel under my neck while rinsing.) When it came time to pay, she said she’d give a discount because I had to sit for the second glaze…at the end of the day, I was charged $10 LESS than what I was quoted online ($90 less than what she’d said 4 hours prior), which would be a lot cooler if I didn’t leave with a mess. And all it does is confirm that she KNEW she’d done a crap job (everyone did), and instead of acknowledging it, passed it off like she was doing ME a favor by performing a good deed and cutting a deal because I was inconvenienced for 15 minutes. Reality is, I’m inconvenienced for the next year until this grows out or until I shell out another several hundred dollars to correct it.
Preemptive note for any attempted response: I do not want to resolve anything or call to discuss anything. There is no need to invalidate my experience more than it was in my time spent at the salon. I have been incredibly thorough in my review, and if any clarification is needed, I feel confident the staff...

My appointment was scheduled at 12pm. I arrived ten minutes early, in time to change into a coloring gown and have a quick conversation with a familiar face who was waiting to get her hair done by another stylist at the salon, before Megan came to get me. I came to her with a need for major correction...choppy layers, 7 months overdue for a color, breakage, overgrown eyebrows, low self esteem...the whole works! I had not had my hair treated in an actual salon in years. My experience with Megan was PERFECT. She balayage colored my hair and added a K18 treatment. She also cut it at a perfect angle, leaving me no concern for the choppy layers I walked in with. My appointment was lengthy and well worth it. The atmosphere was relaxing, social, and high-end. Her workstation was very clean, the ladies were very presentable and fashionable, and the products were topnotch. I will definitely be scheduling every appointment here on out with her. I could not thank her enough before leaving. My exact words were, "My hair has never looked this good." and I mean it! Megan was very patient with my requests, and has a sense of humor that matched mine and instantly made me feel comfortable upon my arrival. After blow drying my hair, she styled my fresh cut and color in perfect beach waves. She was eager to photograph my hair and give me suggestions for styling at home. Last but not least, she waxed my eyebrows. :) I highly commend and recommend her! Thank you again & again &...
Read moreI am going to post a long review. I have mixed feelings about this appointment. This was my first ever appointment in a Hair Salon. My hair is extremely Long, apprx mid thigh, and I usually style it myself. However, I had a Formal event to go to on Friday evening and my time was limited, so I called to see if they could fit me in late afternoon for an updo. Which they were able to do. 3 🌟 for excellent customer service.
The style that I ended up with was in the same ball game as the inspiration pics But it was definitely not a home run. It was cute ish And close enough that I was going to go with it, If it had not started to fall before I had even got to my car... I had roughly 1.5 hours between my appointment time and the time I was supposed to be at the venue. I had to go home and change into my formal gown etcetera and then drive to the venue. I ended up being quite late. From the time I left the salon to when I got home, approximately 30 minutes, my hair had half fallen. I ended up having to take my hair completely down and restyle it myself after having paid $60 plus tip to save time by having a "professional " style my hair.
I do not feel like The Stylist had enough experience or training to work with hair as long as mine. I should have realized as soon as she pulled out the small bobbypins that she did not know what she was doing. You cannot put hair that is nearly 4 foot long in an updo with small pins, it will not stay. (I Even provided large pins of my own, for her to use)
I should have just styled my hair myself instead of wasting my...
