Habibi’s deli & Grocery. Halal food — Restaurant in Monroe

Visited Habibis Deli located inside a gas station in Monroe, NC. We ordered two plates, one chicken over rice, and the other a combo of beef and chicken over rice.

While waiting, we noticed the place looked somewhat clean but not spotless. The atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable, possibly because the AC wasn’t working. it felt humid inside.

We decided to eat in the car. The portions were generous, which was great. The salad was fresh and crispy, and the rice was well prepared. However, there was a slightly odd smell coming from the meat. While it tasted fine, the smell was noticeable and a little off putting.

Customer service was decent, nothing exceptional but satisfactory.

I ordered a mushroom cheeseburger and chili cheese fries online. Got the wrong order when coworker picked up. Took the wrong order back to them and told them my correct order. Had to wait a bit.
