Baja Mar Fish Taco — Restaurant in Monrovia

The food is honestly pretty good especially compared to La Noria right next door. However, they are always grumpy at the cashier. I used to think it was just the particular employee on any given day but just recently the owner, Alex was sitting nearby and really couldn't care less. They hand you your change right over the tip jar so I really thought about tipping them but then I thought screw that. I'd rather leave them a tip in the form of a review so that they can learn to be a bit more welcoming. So in short, good food but...

Baja Del Mar has the best fish and shrimp tacos in this whole area (inclu. Monrovia, Arcadia, Duarte) The rest of the menu is stellar too. You can't go wrong with any of the daily taco specials. They usually include fantastic homemade salsas and hot sauces along with complimentary tortilla chips (also handmade there) They can get busy so its a good idea to call ahead. However they are always fast so its never too long of a wait.

On top of everything else, the crew there is very friendly....

A GIANT WASTE of TIME and $. They're really RUDE, MEAN and DUMB.. The dollar 🌮 is their hook without it they have NO business, the other items are OVER PRICED, and they'll make a simple to go order WRONG EVERYTIME on purpose DO NOT TRUST THEM ! Going back to correct the order, is a nightmare Even the neighboring businesses stay away, and they don't ever offer a receipt for cash payments.
