I've been to this location of Blaze Pizza several times, and came recently for their Pi Day special. I have to say, the way they handled the crowd was super efficient, and made for a really great experience. The line was out the door, but I was in and out in less than an hour.
Blaze is similar to the other DIY pizza stores out there, but the end result differs from other pizzas in that (I think) the pizzas have a more charcoal, oven-baked taste than others. I know friends who prefer Blaze, but I personally like Pieology more. Nonetheless, the quality of ingredients that Blaze offers is still fresh and amazing!
The most popular item to order at Blaze Pizza is the DIY pizza where for $8.25, you can customize your pizza with as many ingredients as you'd like. There's also pre-fixed pizzas that you can order - and even salads, but I find the DIY is the best deal. Seriously ... if you're paying a fixed price, why not throw almost everything on there right?
Steps are fairly easy. Choose your dough, sauce for the pizza, type of cheese, and then pile on ingredients. You can customize half a pizza to be different from the other half (or so I heard), but I haven't done that just yet. I do like the fact that they don't assume what ingredients you want on the pizza. Even with the super huge crowd on Pi Day, the staff went out of their way to make my experience a good one.
A few other pros about Blaze that I really like: -they have gorgonzola cheese! -if you don't think the pizza is baked long enough to your liking, you can request them to bake it for a few extra minutes -the blood orange lemonade is pretty darn good
tl;dr - Overall, fresh ingredients. Friendly staff. Do double check to make sure the cheese in the cheese shaker is parmesan and not something else. I didn't check once and ended up pouring goat cheese all over my pizza. Ugh, not a fan of goat cheese, so I had inedible pizza that I passed on to somebody else. Blaze is located in a big plaza with a ton of parking. Lots of tables and chairs, so great for dining in or...
Read moreI don't understand what is the problem with this place. I guess they take vegetarian orders for granted. Never do they make my order right. After a long period of time I tried their half pizza two weeks back and somehow I got lucky. The person who made it did a great job. I tried ordering it again last week and it was a disaster (spicy red was not spicy red sauce and they over did it so it ade my pizza sweet). Today I thought I will change the sauce so there is no way my order will be messed in any way but hats off to the employees. They always find a way. There was no ricotta on an only ricotta feta cheese pizza. There were no red onions. The employee made the pizza with whatever items they had or may be they think I am a vegetarian so I will eat anything they will make. I literally ate bread feta cheese and a little bit of veggies. I mean if you don't have ricotta or anything that is unavoidable try notifying the person who ordered. Don't try to take advantage of Covid 19 situations. I personally think this place is over hyped and people who work there just think throwing stuff together makes a pizza. They don't understand people's priorities and taste buds. It's most of the time a bad experience for me. My husband who is a non vegetarian for some reason love this place so much,I always try to give them a chance and they have disappointed me most of the time. I think I may not be eating from blaze again for a very very long time. If I want junk food I will go to Dominos. Thanks wonderful employees for your great work. You...
Read moreSecond time they’ve attempted to serve my order without the added sides of ranch. This time asked employee for our sides and he told me they had none, I’ve worked in the food industry for years and I know that mgmt wouldn’t allow for lack of supplies that early into the night. Pizzas are always delicious, we just wish to receive the ranch that comes with :( also interior was trashed, no empty trash bins and bathrooms were disgusting.
Writing this new review 30 minutes after my first one and it’s unfortunate how my experience was with this facility tonight. My husband and I just finished driving for 3 1/2 hours and were very excited to eat blaze as we’ve been having it every week as a treat. Obviously the pickup experience wasn’t the best as the first review shows, but it wasn’t until we got home that we realized both of our pizzas were made wrong and very poorly. My pizza had maybe two chicken bits on the entirety of the pie meanwhile my husbands had 0 protein and added toppings that we didn’t ask for. Completely wrong pizza. Points to what seemed to be the manager of the night as he was willing to remake the pizzas, but it’s unfortunate we had to drive all the way back for this mistake. & the manager also just so happened to bring out a brand new bottle of ranch. When we walked out of the doors with our new pies, the original worker came out from the back and was laughing at the situation. I know what working in food is like, sometimes mistakes happen. But this was completely unacceptable hence the long Karen...
