2025 update: Can it be possible that the arrangements from Aquarela continue to get more beautiful? Well, my wife certainly is, so why can’t the flowers I get her for our anniversary?

It’s 2024 now and Aquarela continues to be (to use a phrase I borrowed) a true example of flower shop gold. So what if I’m old and retired and living on a fixed income – the look my wife gets on her face when she sees the arrangements makes every penny worth it.

I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but I consider Aquarela's a true jewel of the San Gabriel Valley. I can be hard to please (although I'm generally quiet about it and just go elsewhere), but I and my wife (the recipient of these beautiful creations) are always extremely happy with the purchases from this shop.

Bonus: A genuinely nice buying experience with a genuinely nice person.

Aquarela is the best flower shop in the area by a looong shot! I reached out to several florists for my wedding flowers and Alejandra was the only one who got back to me. She was super accommodating of my budget and gave me lots of flexibility on floral style, which I really appreciated.

We ended up getting a bridal bouquet and groom boutonniere. It is truly an understatement when I say Alejandra knocked it out of the park; she executed my vision even better than what I had told her! My bouquet was the most beautiful floral arrangement I've ever seen, and it even lasted several days as we traveled in the car with pretty harsh temperature changes. The flowers were so resilient that I was even able to get my bouquet preserved afterwards, which is no small feat for temperamental species like cosmos and ranunculus.

Aquarela Gifts and Flowers is a little shop in downtown Monrovia and gosh, does it deliver. I ordered flowers for my husband's birthday and it is the most magnificent arrangement I've ever seen. Alejandra is so pleasant and such a talented artist. My order was ready by late morning but I wasn't able to pick it up right away; she was willing to wait for me, even though I couldn't get there until after the store closes. Who does that!?
