Black Cat Fables — Local services in Monrovia

A new bookstore with a great vibe! They have a wonderful selection of books but also little gifts. They have plenty of chairs and tables to plop down at and carefully make your book selections. There is a pile of games in the cozy, couch corner. I am guessing those will be used more when they open their coffee and tea area. They also are hosting various events. Check those out! We've met the owner and a couple other workers. They all seem amazingly kind! Can't say enough good about this shop. If you stop in, it probably means you are a book lover. So buy a book to help keep indie stores alive and thriving. If you don't need the book, give it to a nearby Altadena resident who might just need a bit of a distraction...

What a divine little treasure this place is!

I had so much fun with the Ladies (owners) here while I browsed all of their bibliophile items.

Instagram Reel worthy Comfortable vibe here and lots of current authors with plenty of additional recommendation markers on the shelves if you need assistance making up your mind. It's colorful, bright and relaxing that speaks to most of we #bookstagrammers out here.

It's located down an alley so maybe tricky finding but once you're in... the time just flies by as you peruse the neatly stacked tables and organized shelves. They also have events here and a bookclub...

This place is just fantastic, and it keeps getting better each time I visit. Cozy, clean, with amazingly sweet people who work there!

At the time of writing this, they've been such a blessing helping with resources and raising donations for people affected in the wildfires recently. It means so much that this little business cares so fondly for others.

There's more than just books too; there's some really great merchandise that have made perfect gifts for others that like cozy aesthetics.
