We were excited to try this new restaurant, but left slightly disappointed. The service was great - the waitress was friendly and responsive. The atmosphere is nothing exciting, but pleasant at the same time. The menu is elegant in its simplicity, a rarity for Mexican restaurants. There are just enough choices to find something you like, but no flipping through a book. However, the food was so incredibly salty. Coming from someone who snacks on everything salty, this is a perturbing comment. The enchilada sauce, rice, and beans were all salty to the point that water between bites was requisite. Salt was a visible condiment on the order of fries. The highlight of the enchiladas was the beef, which was very nicely cooked. Another downer was $5 for chips and salsa, for what amounts to maybe 40 chips and a small bowl of (great) salsa - this should be brought to the table when you sit down. We want to go back and try Knight Cap again, and we will. Less salt in all food will be pivotal, and I’m really hoping to see those chips and salsa served on the house.

Upon walking in the door Matt and Hector greeted us as we sat down at the bar. They and the rest of the staff really made this place special. I got to talk to a member of their kitchen staff as well, he was very passionate about making delicious food and had been working in the industry for about 17 years. The first set of tacos were al pastor, chicken, asada, and potato. It would be tough to pull a favorite, they were all excellent, but the al pastor came out ahead by a nose. We also ordered the grilled fish tacos, they were delicious! Next time I will try the fried fish tacos. The restaurant was clean and not overly loud. I could hear my friends on my left and right easily. Thanks to The Knight Cap for providing us with an awesome place to chill and make friends! Oh yeah, fried pickles, don't miss out.

Had an amazing time here! Fantastic happy hour with friendly and attentive staff. Drink recommendations were spot-on. Happy hour extended due to the great vibe and delicious drinks. Appetizers like cantina fries, chips, salsa, and asada quesadilla were all delicious. A must-visit spot! Sadly, I only captured one picture of my watermelon Margarita.

Everyone was very friendly and service was quick. It was quite loud they had a party of about 25 and every table and the bar was packed. They were having a trivia night around 7:30. The food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh. The salsa was delicious. We had the Birria Tacos, super yummy and an appetizer bowl of corn made with mayo cheese and spice that we ate every last kernel. I would definitely recommend...
