This was pulled up to a three-star review because of our server, Michael, who was really working hard and taking care of all the patrons. He was great! The food was good, not amazing. But we were seated at a small table in a tight corner, that had a roll of paper towels, ketchup bottle, mustard bottle, cups that had silverware for use, a bowl of mayonnaise packets, some kind of hot sauce. Ultimately all of these things took up about half of the table. We were next to a wall where the dust was piled on from the lack of cleaning. When our food was brought out, they realized the table was too small for our plates, and they relocated us to another table, close to some split unit AC that was blowing right at our table. My husband noted that they likely had converted their outdoor patio to be included as indoor space. The wall across from us had a gap that was about two inches wide and you could see outside. There were electrical things from the split unit to the wall behind my husband. I'm not sure how this place has passed code with so many blatant violations. I used the restroom, whose trash can was spilling used paper towels on the floor, which they may have had a rush, but their staff has to use it too, right? They tried to seat another couple at the table they moved us from, a guy taller than my 6'3" husband and a girl who was a little larger than me, and they got up and left. I fell short of suggesting the same thing to my husband because he had driven us all day in Yellowstone and he was exhausted, dealing...

This review is for their restaurant. Honestly I want to give it 5 stars but there were several things that really pissed me off. Firstly, the menu online hasn’t been updated in some time (which is understandable). However their new menu is basically twice as expensive as their last menu on google. Want a glass of wine for $5.25? Nope, now $12, which is more than an entire bottle at a convenience store. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries which was $17, I would say it was good but a little overpriced for what it was, including the 10 fries I got with my meal. My fiancé got the hunters dinner, which was labeled as “Large” and was priced at $22. I assumed accordingly, yet it was a 3x6 pan at best with very little meat basically mashed potatoes and green beans with some bacon and cheese. I never write bad reviews, this is probably my first bad one. But the value at cowboy grill is 1/10, taking full advantage of your out of town customers. I would gladly pay these ridiculous prices for food if there was actual food that came with the meal, but they raised prices and I assume shortened the portions which is a recipe to piss everyone off. I hope they improve for the sake of all future customers or they may not be in business very much longer. I hope to come back someday and write a 5...

Despicable. Booked reservation 6 months ago and showed up with my family of 6 for a two night stay in a 3 bedroom lodge. I was greeted at the desk by a male whom after me telling our name for checkin, darted off to the back and disappeared with no word for 5 minutes. Meanwhile we were approached by a female waitress who proceeded to assist by giving us the door code to the lodge and commenting that we were “the ones who booked the Cowboy lodge” and said they had a large party come in earlier that wanted to rent all 5 lodges on the property but couldn’t because of us. After waiting 10 more minutes the gentleman came back to tell us that they are unable to honor the reservation as the lodge is no longer available. We explained that we knew the request that was made by another party and that we were not going to allow this to happen as we paid and reserved 6 months ago. Not once during this quickly escalating discussion was any apology given. We just kept getting told they could not honor our reservation. Now we are stranded outside Yellowstone park on a family vacation with no alternative option to accommodate our family who traveled here from Florida. Wanted to let others be aware that this could happen to you and if you don’t want to end up in the situation we are in,...

We just got here and thought we'd give the restaurant a chance. The man who seated us was a taller guy with dark hair. He led us back and dropped two menus on a small table when two booths were available. He walked away without conversation. I tried to ask him if we could have the booth nearby and he was gone. The next couple received a much warmer welcome as we watched him offer three locations to sit. It makes you wonder a bit as to why the treatment was different. Two couples came in and left while we were waiting for food. It wasn't the wait, they just reconsidered. The menu is different on line. I had a version of a hunters pie. The pork was gamey and strong to the taste. It was salty. The other meal was chicken tenders and they were mediocre. The honey mustard sauce was good and the garlic bread was also good. Our waiter was Shawn, though he never introduced himself, his name was on the Check, so..maybe? He was kind and offered to replace the food, though a refund was not offered. I couldn't even try again if they had offered..my stomach hurts. 22.88 for Hunters Pie that I couldn't eat half of and 19.76 for chicken tenders and fries 🤯 I have eaten in many places around the world and I would like to say it could be a lot better. Trust the reviews!

Service is crazily bad. INCREDIBLY SLOW (1.5h when they said 15 minutes) RLY BAD ATTITUDE. Lettuce pieces were falling out of my box before even opening it. Literally the lettuce was turning brown💀 We are two groups. Got there at arnd 7. Told us the wait is 15. We waited for 30. We asked. They said it's another 15 but we can get it to-go and sit outside instead. Another 30 passed. We asked if the food has already been made. If not we want a refund. They lied that it is in progress WITHOUT crossing out our order. Got the manager, finally told us she can refund then stated that the device would not let her like a nice joke. And NOW CROSSED OUT OUR ORDER (this is how I know they were lying earlier). She also said we cant get a cash refund since we paid with card even though they have cash... She promised in 10 minutes if we do not get our order we can get our refund. We set a timer. Timer goes off. Only one of the two food got the food. Still refuses to give that group a refund and instead "served" the food finally after an additional 5 minutes. In total we waited for 1.5h including the 1hour we waited to finally get our food.

We only visited the restaurant for breakfast, not the hotel, so that may be better. The food was expensive, mediocre and small portions, not worth it. Pros: - Cool Decor, Wild West theme - Apple Fritter Donut was delicious - Staff were friendly, Angie was a good server Cons: - Long wait for food, but it didn't seem very busy. We did not have to wait to get a table - Sides are very small and expensive. - Portions are small. - Menu is relatively short and limited. - Food quality was mediocre. The cheese on the skillet had cooled before it made it to the table, and it didn't have much flavor. Wouldn't order again. I think one of the fried potatoes had mold. - The little bitty basket of potatoes was placed directly on the table, which I thought was weird. - Extra charge for groups, credit, resort fee. Some of our items were more expensive than it said on the menu. Overall the place has great potential, but wouldn't come here again.
