I wish I could say something positive about this restaurant but that just isn’t going to happen unfortunately. To begin our experience we were told that it is 9:27 and they stop seating customers at 9:30. Literally the person in front of us was seated right away so being as it wasn’t even 9:30 I’m not sure what the issue was. We were told we could p lace an order to go though. We went to the car and looked at an online menu to place our order. After placing the order the lady told us it would be 5-7 mins before it was ready, I saw the number of customers while we were inside so I figured it would take a little longer and that was no big deal. I waited 15 mins (More than double the time) before going back inside to pay and get the order where I had to wait another 10 mins. I asked the waitress to please make sure we had silverware and salt as we are traveling (As I’m sure the majority of their customer base is doing also) and do not carry household amenities with us. The waitress brought my food to me and told me that both of my orders of raviolis are in 1 box... I wasn’t sure what to say as our experience didn’t start out great and I didn’t want to be rude but..... SERIOUSLY? I asked if she was sure both orders were in 1 box and she said yes... Once again we are traveling and don’t have kitchen amenities on hand.... such as plates or additional boxes or bowls to separate food in. I ordered extra cheese on the breadsticks and by all means was willing to pay whatever that may cost and honestly may have been charged for it (I never saw an itemized receipt) but I assure you there is not extra cheese on the bread sticks....
Read moreEnd of July 2018, We visited YNP and stayed in Gardiner. One of the nights, my 2 sons decided to go for pizza dinner . We chose this restaurant based on some local recommendations. We ordered Firehole Canyon , Paint Pot ( Gluten Free) and Make your own with Bison toppings for 4 of us Their size is little larger than medium - 13 inches.
Firehold Caonyon has Habaneros and boy were they stinging...but the overall spicy-ness was very well blended with other toppings and so it tasted great. If you do not LOVE hot and Spicy, avoid it. If you do, go for this , you will love it
Paint pot comes with veggie toppings and the GF crust was unbelievable as it did not taste like cardboard like other GF crusts from Dominos or other chains. Awesome creation. Make your Own with Bison toppings was created very well and well cooked. 2 local brews that we ordered were also great combination with pizzas we ordered.
One thing to remember is that when you enter the restaurant, you will see a board stating- Wait to be seated . But they expect you to reach out to the cashier near kitchen and get your name listed so you can be seated . we did not know that and wasted 10 mins to get someone to talk to us,. Once seated, service was quick and pleasant.
Owner/Manager is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and so you will see some signs of this. Even though we all went in wearing Denver Broncos hats , she was awesomely nice to us :-)
I would go there again in...

A gregarious, welcoming gentleman from Philadelphia seated us next to the window so that we ladies had a view of the mountains. He brought us a pitcher of water with limes, a regular glass of water & unsweetened ice tea with a Sweet and Low. The appetizers were delicious: cheesy breadsticks with marinara sauce & fried ravioli, also with marinara.
All of the food was served quickly, and the place was full! The 13” sausage was bigger than expected and was very good. The sauce was a little spicy! Our grilled chicken Caesar salads were just the way we wanted them - almost. The chicken was grilled with just a bit of seasoning, served warm on a bed of what looked like iceberg - not romaine - lettuce. Both salads were good, regardless. We sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top. It was on there - not enough for us. Lots of croutons! We did ask the cook, and he said this is Montana Romaine.
No dessert! They sold out of the Huckleberry Cheesecake at lunch. I was looking forward to trying it.
If we could come back for another meal, we would. The place had a great vibe, friendly people, good food reasonably priced & served quickly, and lots more to choose from...
