So! Went to this place for my wedding. Left my BLACK pugs in CHEYENNE WYOMING. Had the owner seriously text me telling me I had a dog in the room and that there was “hair on the walls and everything” saying she was having to “vacuum the walls”. Again, no dogs ever in our room. Then sent me a photo of a piece of carpet with 3-4 white hairs on it. No joke. Blew up my phone with other numerous photos of the carpet. Continued to insinuate I was lying about my dogs being in Cheyenne. Best part- she helped us take all of our stuff to the 3rd floor! Clearly we didn’t have 4 dogs with us. She was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Rooms were completely over priced anyway. The lock on the front of the hotel AND the lock on our door didn’t work at all. Anyone can walk in off the street and take whatever they want. Should have stayed at literally any other hotel in Gardiner, they are all much more courteous. Basically, if you stay here, you better wear plastic bags and not leave the couch to ensure no imaginary shaggy dog hair appears and you have the owner blowing up your phone through text messages with her petty bull. Grew up going to Gardiner and lived outside of Gardiner for years- I’ve never encountered a more rude person in that town. In response to the owners comments: when you have millions of tourists through a town- it’s not as safe as you think. I’m not talking about locals. Locks DID NOT work. SECOND OF ALL; who TEXTS somebody and accuses them of lying? I have the texts, I should post them for the world to see. Another thing “I don’t allow dogs in certain rooms” Then why did you tell us our dogs could come and didn’t need to stay in Cheyenne? I have those messages too. You clearly state- for an extra fee my BLACK pugs could come. Also in the owners messages to me- she basically says that obviously “pet owners” were in the room. She completely blew everything out of proportion. She attempted to make us pay for “vacuuming the walls and fridge” until I told her I would see her in court because she was way out of line. This lady needs an Emmy for her crazy performance of “OMG I FOUND A WHITE DOG HAIR!” Ridiculous. Nobody ever came and refilled anything in our rooms. Nobody made the beds. The shower had a gross film on the floor. My husband and I both wore flip flops while showering because it was disgusting. The deck off our room was never shoveled or de iced. She knew we were getting married on that deck and yet allowed about 4” of ice to form under the snow causing a huge liability. Same with the stairs and walk out front- no shoveling or ice salt, just walk it at your own risk. There were incredibly drunk people in and out of the hotel with their DOGS who barked all night. The owners assistant, cleaning lady, whatever- was flat out RUDE AF as soon as we arrived. My husband and I both agreed she was a snob right from the get go. I love Gardiner and there are far more honest people and better places to stay. This lady is clearly out of her damn mind if she thinks how she acted was ok. It’s NOT. Rude. And CRAZY. And if you look on YELP, Trip Advisor and Google- Tami the owner will LASH out at anyone who says anything bad about their stay. And she continues to stick up for her maid; who everyone complains about and yet- she’s still there. ALSO: if you see where I complain about locks- she says they work and are tested daily but on Trip Advisor she lashes out at someone who complains her MAID didn’t lock the door in their room by saying “we never lock things in this town”. Steer CLEAR. If anyone wants to see all the messages from Tami, let...

I enjoyed my stay at Park Hotel Yellowstone. The hotel is literally on the edge of Yellowstone National Park, and many animals like Elk and Bison from the park wander into town and show little regard to humans. (Perhaps because they are gigantic) In fact, there was a mule deer in the yard next door to the hotel, when we arrived and also cotton tail rabbits running around in the streets.

The historical and famous Roosevelt Arch is just a block away from the hotel. The river is also only a block. There are restaurants just across the street or down the street from the hotel that are decent including Cowboys which has Bison Burgers. The town is incredibly small but getting the hotel was almost as if we were getting to stay in Yellowstone, even though we were in the off season, when Yellowstone does not offer any hotels within the park.

The hotel was absolutely lovely. Many of the design features are in the craftsmen building style and the building itself dates back more than a hundred years. Around the time that the US Parks department took over Fort Yellowstone, this building was built. Despite its age, it has been retrofitted with all the modern trappings like wireless internet, plenty of plugins for electronics, clean modern bathrooms, and flat screen TVs. Our particular room had a retro style, electric heater which looked like an old kettle heater. This was not the sole source of heat though as there was a thermostat that could be operated for regular heating.

The interior of the hotel was eloquently decorated in cabin and woodsy themes. You truly felt like you were transported to a mythical cabin in a rugged wilderness. The rooms we had were combined together by a walkway and they offered us all the comforts and joys of home such as a Kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, range, oven, and cookware and also a newer model washer and dreyer. The only thing to consider is that due to the age of the building and the wood floor boards, you do hear people quite well going up and down the stairs outside the rooms.

The owner Tami went out of her way to accommodate us after a mix-up with Priceline when we booked. It is better to book from the direct website than to do what we did and book through an online travel agency. Tami was fair and honest, and very personable. If you meet her its like meeting an old friend even though she is the hotel owner.

Parking was available on the street outside the hotel. We never had any problems finding a space to park.

Overall I think this hotel has great value especially when considering you get all the comforts of home right on the doorstep of one of the world’s most beautiful nature areas. I would likely book again if I want to travel to the northwest entrance of Yellowstone near Mammoth...

We spent a week in January at the Park Hotel. It is the kind of place you will like if you are happy at home. It was clean, had lots of charm and lots of amenities like a sofa in our bedroom, a working kitchen without charges for everything you touched. It was modern in bathroom fixtures and LED lighting, but unconventional on other ways which we liked.

This is a two person operation as I see it. There is no "front desk". You get instructions as to how to find and get into your room via email or equivalent. The rest of what you need is there. When I got held up and called to notify them I'd be a day late, the phone was answered and problem solved. The woman who owns and has fixed up this old hotel is the prime contact. There is someone cleaning and working on site daily and she is friendly and responsive to requests, but this isn't the Hilton.

If you sleep in the same sheets between washings and make your bed to a level that satisfies you at home, then you may really like the service here. That was partly why I chose it in the first place.

It is family friendly and there are snacks in the hall, coffee for you to make in the apartment, and not a big list of prices for everything you touch. The WiFi worked and we didn't test the TV, so I can't tell you if it has NetFlix, but I wasn't disappointed since I basically never watch TV.

Check-out was: Do your dishes and leave. If you have problems with timing, contact either contact the owner by phone or message or talk to the woman cleaning things up.

Great charm, great location, and modern style service .. perhaps more like Lyft than Yellow Cab. We will go there again next time...

This is by far the best hotel we've stayed in during our visit in Montana. It was expensive but worth every penny. I couldn't stop talking about it as I loved what the owner Tammy did with the place. It was very detailed and everything that was put in that room must have been well thought carefully. I have pictures and I will share. We got this room when we checked in Livingston inn as i mentioned in my previous post. She recommended to us and we decided to give it a try from 26th of December till 27th of December. We got this room also was because the people who was supposed to check in was in an accident and couldn't make it. I wish we could stay longer but like i mentioned above it was pretty steep. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. The only complaint i have was the people on 2nd floor was extremely noisy and inconsiderate. We had some trouble sleeping as there was a loud banging and my husband could have swore that it could have been somebody who fell off the bed. The loud thud awoke us. We paid the pet fee which we were told 10 dollars but we were charged 30 dollars. My husband heard that too. Anyway the hotel was literally a minute or 2 away from Yellowstone national park. We took the package on the snow coach which was very expensive and I don't feel that it was worth our money. Each person have to pay $180 + 20 park entry. So just saying if you are in Montana and want a good comfortable and feel all the wildlife atmosphere then pick this hotel. It was worth it! We would definitely stay again except maybe without our pet.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel. The hotel is at the edge of town and right at the entrance of the park. So much so, that every morning and evening we were able to view elk, prong horn and mule deer right out our window in the lot below our window. The room was very comfortable and clean. I loved the themes of the rooms and all of the personal touches which allowed us to relax not only in the room but also outside on the huge front porch or around the firepit in the yard. The manager was very attentive to our needs and questions. She would even text us and let us know where herds of elk were in town (such as elk grazing on the high school football field). The hotel was in walking distance of many stores and restaurants. Several of the restaurants has already closed for the season (we were there 10/02-10/09) but some were still open that offered good food and there was a small grocery where we purchased some things we could cook in our room in the kitchenette. I can't recommend this hotel enough! We had great views, quick access to the park and it was only a 15-20 minute drive to Mammoth. We plan on returning again and will definitely stay at the Park Hotel! We have already recommended this hotel to others who plan on visiting the park and staying in Gardiner.

We stayed in the Queen Historical Suite at The Park Hotel Yellowstone at the end of August. What a beautiful hotel in a cute town right at the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The room was immaculate and filled with wonderful eclectic furnishings. The bathroom is upgraded and modern with a very cool "stone" shower that includes the Roosevelt Arch! The full kitchen was appreciated as was the coffee maker for morning coffee. Our only disappointment was that we did not get to meet Tami, our host and the hotel owner. From her emails and text messages, I'm sure we would have enjoyed the interaction. As it was we ran into Connie, one of Tami's helpers, and enjoyed an interesting conversation with her. We ate dinner one night on the porch overlooking the river at the Iron Horse Bar and Grill. Afterwards on our walk back to the hotel we were entertained by a large elk prancing across the river following the double yellow lines on the bridge! We would definitely stay at the Park Hotel again if we have opportunity to stay in Gardiner in the future.
