DO NOT BOOK A RESERVATION WITH THIS PROPERTY!!! My partner and I planned the trip of our lifetimes. We are an elderly couple with fixed incomes and had saved for our 2022 Yellowstone National Park adventure for several years. Our spring trip to YNP was amazing. We experienced the southern loop May 22-26. We planned a return trip this September 5-10 to experience the northern loop. Arrangements were booked on June 5, 2022, just eight days before the “500-yr” flood devastated southern Montana and northern YNP. We had made reservations with this Airbnb property for our lodging because they were so close to Mammoth Hot Springs via the North gate. When the road into the park (Hwy 89) was destroyed our plans were obliterated. United Airlines and Enterprise Car Rental issued refunds immediately due to these extenuating circumstances. Maya, the host, denied us a full refund and feels justified in keeping our $738 deposit. We offered to return in 2023 or 2024 if she could issue us a voucher. She said that wasn’t possible but offered us an insignificant courtesy discount on our return. IS SHE NUTS??? I guess an 81-day advanced cancellation wasn’t good enough for her to rebook our room. This host is nothing but a money-grubber, sponsored by Airbnb Corp. Once they have your money for 48 hours it’s theirs. KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE EVEN WITH EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES. YOU HAVE...
Read moreTerrible host with a terrible Airbnb policy. Do not book with Maya if you want to deal with a reasonable person.
Yellowstone flooded recently and the host is being unreasonable with her cancellation policy. The northern half of the park is flooded and we’re only allowed in half of the days. We can only go in through the southern gate but due to road conditions we have to drive around the park through Montana, Idaho, then Wyoming. That’s a drive that takes 7 hours just to get into the national park which she thinks is entirely reasonable. She falsely advertised this as being less than an hour away and can’t deliver on any of her claims at this time.
Due to her inflexibility with her policy in light of extenuating circumstances and false advertising I have to write this poor review. I hope she treats future clients better but I’m sure she won’t have to worry about that the way she’s going.
Update: If you purchased your booking with a credit card and the hosts and Airbnb were unreasonable about the Yellowstone flooding situation you can dispute the charge and there’s a decent chance you can get your money back since you never received the product...
Read morePerfect place to stay while visiting the northern wonders of Yellowstone. Located on a hillside actually facing the Yellowstone park north entrance area. Very comfortable beds, well appointed and clean. Nice view from the front patio. Gardiner offers great restaurants to feed a hungry outdoorsy appetite. I really can't thank Rhodopa hosts enough for their terrific customer service. In the middle of our first night's stay it became apparent that we would have to cut our time in Gardiner short and would have to forgo our next two nights. I reached out to them by text right away. By morning they informed me that they were willing to re-rent the room and would reimburse us. They followed through as promised. I would highly recommend...
