Vegan Foodie Alert: Found My New Obsession!
Okay, friends, let's talk about vegan food. We all know the struggle, right? Finding a place that serves up actually delicious dishes, not just sad salads and bland tofu? Well, I'm here to shout from the rooftops because I've found a gem!
Simply put, this place is simply awesome! (Yes, I'm sticking with that!)
Let's start with the star of the show: the bean burger. Oh. My. Goodness. I'm a burger enthusiast, and I can honestly say I've never tasted a vegan burger quite like it. It was out of this world! Seriously, forget everything you thought you knew about bean burgers. This one is a game-changer.
And it wasn't just the burger. Their bowls were equally impressive, packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. It's clear that they put a lot of thought and care into every dish.
But the food isn't the only thing that makes this place special. The staff is absolutely amazing. La-La was incredibly cordial and welcoming, making me feel right at home. And I hear their chef, Suniel, is a culinary wizard. Let me tell you, after tasting their food, I completely believe it!
The atmosphere was also fantastic. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, which really added to the positive vibes. You know how important that is!
My only tiny disappointment? They were sold out of cookies! (Which, let's be honest, just means they must be incredible.) I guess I'll just have to go back sooner rather than later.
Overall, this was a truly great experience. If you're vegan, vegetarian, or just someone who appreciates delicious food, you NEED to check this place out. You won't be...

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Brick City Vegan (Montclair & Newark) and Uber Eats, which I feel compelled to share publicly after being met with silence and no resolution for over a week.
Their Uber Eats listing offers gluten-free buns as a substitution. Based on this, I placed an order for a vegan burger and immediately called the restaurant to confirm. I was told gluten-free buns are not actually available and advised to cancel the order. I raised concern about being charged — they assured me Uber Eats would refund it.
I followed their advice, canceled, and reached out to Uber Eats — who refused to refund me, claiming I should “be more careful before ordering.”
When Uber Eats contacted the restaurant to verify the issue, Brick City hung up on them, and Uber Eats washed their hands of the situation.
So here I am:
Charged for food I never received
Lied to by the restaurant about what’s available
Given zero help by Uber Eats, who hosted the misleading listing
Ignored by both parties when I tried to resolve it
If you have dietary restrictions or expect basic accountability, be cautious. Neither Brick City nor Uber Eats took ownership — and I was left paying the price for...
Read moreI visited this past Sunday and will come back, thanks to Tom, the lone worker managing the entire establishment. When I say "entire establishment," I mean he was doing everything – taking orders, cooking, cleaning, and even fulfilling online orders.
Despite the restaurant being busy (9 people before me and my friends, with 4 more walking in), with a wait time of about 35 minutes for our food, Tom handled it all efficiency and a positive attitude. Every dish we ordered came out exactly as we asked, which is quite an accomplishment given the circumstances.
It's clear that he needs more support, as no one should have to handle all these tasks alone, especially during a rush. Whoever is in charge of scheduling needs to reconsider the staffing situation, as it's not fair to the worker or the customers.
A raise for Tom is more than justified. His ability to manage the restaurant solo from opening until late afternoon is remarkable and speaks volumes about his work ethic and commitment. I hope the management takes note of this and provides the support and raise recognition he...
