I heard about Jayce Baudry from the team at Faubourg. I had to go try it. First trip, macarons, canneles. Second trip, chocolate flourless cake, chestnut mont blanc and a pomme cube. Then I ordered a pecan pie for Thanksgiving and it was by far the most delicious pie I have ever had. I love chocolate and since it had chocolate in the pie, I was sold. The owners are so lovely and the staff too. I think I will slowly work my way and try everything in the shop! The details in the decorations of each pastry is amazing. True works of art. SO happy they opened up. LOVE! 10/24/24 A couple of years ago, JBFP created this fantastic skull with marshmallow brain for Halloween. It's back fro 2024. You must order one! Inside is chocolate mousse and tart cranberry. Check out the photos below.

Small and busy. But busy for a damn good reason. These treats are delicious! The pistachio macaroon and the chocolate flourless cake are to die for. I was told that I would have to come back for a slice of a chocolate cake that wasn't available at the time. Disappointing but the chocolate flourless cake made up for it. It was the size of a Hostess cupcake for $7. I could do without the crunchy pieces. Mia's Brooklyn Bakery's Blackout cake is still number 1. The fruit tart was not to our liking. The pastry cream was not good. Once again Mia's fruit tart would win that battle. I would return to try their chocolate cake but I would have to call to make sure they had it. I wouldn't want to drive 15 minutes for anything else at the time.

Looks like reviews from a year ago were excellent. But right now, I don't think that this pastry would be my first choice for the following reasons: 1- When I stepped in, the two employees were chatting and simply ignored me for a few minutes. 2- The guy was upset at me because I was pronouncing "croissants" with my French accent. It is supposed to be a French pastry ... 3- I got a rude answer about my simple request: in case you have croissants, I would like to get one with my order 4- their fruit tart looks like it has been on the shelf with no refrigeration for a few days (see picture, I bought this less than an hour ago, I think I will just trash it...) Note to the management, please do something to improve

I recently visited Jayce with a friend, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We tried four different items, and none of them lived up to the standards one would expect from a French bakery. Having traveled to France and experienced authentic French pastries, I was shocked at the disparity.

The pastries we tried lacked the delicate texture and rich flavors that are the hallmark of French baking. It was clear that the ingredients used were not of the highest quality, and the execution was poor. Each item we sampled was a letdown, from the stale croissants to the flavorless tarts.

Additionally, the customer service left much to be desired. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, which only added to our dissatisfaction. For a place that markets itself as a French bakery, they need to significantly improve both their product quality and their service.

Overall, this place did not meet our expectations, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic French pastry experience. The management needs to take serious steps to improve their offerings and their customer service to justify their claim as a...

I ordered a re-creation of my friend’s complex multi-layered, multi-textured wedding cake as a surprise for her. Jayce made a beautiful and delicious cake that was such a hit that he made 2 more of them for me. But what prompted me to write this review is his thoughtfulness towards his customers: Two days before the surprise was to be delivered, my friend called Jayce herself to order the same cake! Before he replied to her, in order to preserve my surprise, he asked if I would like him to make an excuse for why he can’t make her cake… maybe he’s too busy or something? This could have put his reputation at risk and upset a potential customer but I so appreciated his offer. We had a good laugh and in the end I fessed up to my friend, who was thrilled with the cake.

If you are looking for elegant French pastries (with delicately-balanced flavors and textures) from a kind and talented baker/artist, your search is over. Go see Jayce. Great products, great service.

Tip: try his fresh madeleines for a little pick-me-up any time of day. Great with a cup of...

The desserts at Jayce Baudry are so beautifully executed and so delicious that I don't even have the words to adequately describe them. I wish I did, but I'm not a food critic and would not do any of them justice. I would like to say that beyond the pastries, which are exceptional, the customer service is stellar.

I dropped in at 5 PM on Thanksgiving Eve, after a LONG day. We'd just picked up my oldest son from college, drove all the way back home, and stopped by Jayce Baudry with the hopes that we could get a pie for Thanksgiving. All they had left was apple, which my younger son can't eat because of food sensitive.. But everyone loves pumpkin and that's what we were hoping to find. We would return on Thanksgiving morning with the hopes of getting one.

But then the chef, Jayce, asked if we could come back in two hours to get a pumpkin pie. I could and did! I cannot even tell the how much stress was alleviated by this gesture. I was so grateful, I nearly cried. The pie was beautiful...
