Geppettos has the best food in Monte. Well, Italian/sit down restaurant (I'm a big crows nest/genes fan). Food is always delicious! The bar is awesome! Huge sports bar in the back! I originally started going to Gepps because my friend was a bartender there. Post covid, they need some help. I'm giving it 4 stars because their phone service has been terrible lately. I like to call in orders & pick it up for dinner at home. Lately when I've called I've gotten attitude & bad service (probably because they're busy, understaffed & apparently hate phone orders). Last time I called, I'd been trying to call for atleast 30 min but it kept saying my "call couldn't be completed as dialed" (I'm assuming it's because they either don't have call waiting or just took the phone off the hook). I wanted Gepps so bad I started driving there so I could place my order there & just wait, but decided to try to call one more time on the way, it actually rang & someone answered. Just to tell me they stop serving at 730pm (it was 7:34pm when I finally got ahold of someone) even though on Google it says their hours are until 9pm. I told them I had been trying to get ahold of them for atleast 30+ min and I only wanted a small order. They refused to take my order & just told me "sorry, they are already closing the till". I turned around & got food from somewhere else. I will be eating a lot less Gepps from...
Read moreService was inadequate, food was decent.
Ordered baked spaghetti to go and a large Iced Tea. "We don't serve drinks to go" she says. Ok just a baked spaghetti then. I chose the salad and it comes with bread.
The to go service in general seemed like it was not a major part of their business. Which is odd to me because I've not eaten at an italian restaurant that didn't have a solid to go game. Fork in the box no napkins in the bag no offer of condiments etc. Just generally seemed pretty careless about my order.
The kitchen on the other hand seems to know the business. My food was ready in 12 minutes hot, fresh, decently prepared. Portion size was on the small side for italian food. The pasta was served on a piece of foil to bake the cheese on top and make it easy to serve into a clamshell. The clamshell was a 3 compartment unit but only the main dish section was full. The bread was packed on top of the two side compartments. They could use a smaller single compartment clamshell and make the customer feel like their plate was full instead of feeling like they paid for a meal and got half a clamshell of food.
Sauce was a basic bright marinara, decent spice nice flavor not too salty not too sweet slightly acidic but overall decently balanced.
It's advertised as being the best italian in grays harbor. If that's true I guess i'm glad I didn't choose the second best place...
Read moreI honestly normally love their pizza but I wouldn't recommend dining in. The place needs an update really bad. My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon. They were short staffed. Dining room was not full at all (three other tables, 2-3 ppl and one large group who already had food). It took a half an hour to receive our small side salads. And at 45 minutes the waitress came to our table holding a pizza and informing us she had accidentally given our pizza to someone else. She did offer us the pizza for free while ours was being made but the one she had was covered in mushrooms (the only topping I don't like). So we just asked to leave. I am not angry or hating on the place but I was also very unimpressed. This was not our first dine-in experience and the first time wasn't great either. Pretty disappointed but we will stick to ordering pizza to go if we feel like trying again. Also, we did not get charged for the salads so at least the poor waitress tried. She said there was only one cook. Unfortunately for them, this was our third attempt at lunch that day and I did not want to wait another 45 minutes for the...
