My sisters and I came here on Black Friday today and got a latte, matcha, and chai. We were excited because there wasn’t a line when we arrived: which was good because we were on a bit of a time constraint. The barista (no name tag) who took our order had really cute red Christmas nails, but I think she must have been tired from Thanksgiving because she wasn’t paying attention to our order. My sister, who is highly lactose intolerant, ordered an iced matcha latte with oatmilk. She clearly specified OAT milk. The barista didn’t take our name (which I know most Starbucks do) or read our order back to us to ensure it was right. Like I said, we only had about 15 minutes for the stop and my sister has two young children that we were wrangling… so we didn’t read the label of the drink to ensure it was right (we thought we could trust Starbucks to take a milk selection seriously). By the time we got home, she got so sick. We checked the label on her cup: it did not specify oatmilk. Someone else from our group tasted it and confirmed it was made with whole milk. Even though it’s not an “allergy” and she didn’t die, she’s been down all morning in pain. I wish the barista would have been more attentive. This experience put a huge damper on my sister’s day, and therefore on all of our day. Lactose intolerance is no joke. Though sometimes milk is just a preference, often it is due to a gut issue like lactose intolerance. When you’re managing small kids and trying to get out the door, sometimes you forget to explain that your milk choice is so serious. I would have hoped that the barista cared enough to understand that and thus take all milk selections seriously, but not in this case. If you have ANY dietary restrictions DO...
Read moreI have had the same barista, Dorian Cook almost everytime I come into this establishment, and every time I've came in, I've have the best experience! A1 customer service. Another great barista is, Brianna Woodard and when I see her in the mornings, she's always polite and in a great mood at 6:00 AM, the most helpful. Great customer service as well! Finally, Kieonna Bolling has the best personality, helpful, and a downright all around good employee. These employees with their great attitudes, smiles, and good mornings/ and have a nice day; start our days off so much better than any rude employees that a customer can tell they don't like their job, just being outright may and rude, making your day stay off on the wrong foot. Not this Starbucks and not these 3 employees, they are good ate their job and go above and beyond to make sure everyone has everything and we're happy! ...
Read moreThe atmosphere of this store is warm and inviting, which initially made for a pleasant visit. However, my experience was negatively impacted after witnessing what appeared to be the manager, Narnia, speaking to an employee in a degrading and unprofessional manner.
The tone and approach she used toward the employee lacked empathy and respect, which not only created an uncomfortable environment but also seemed discouraging for the staff member who was simply trying to do his job. It was disappointing to see such behavior from leadership in what otherwise felt like a positive environment.
It was also noticeable that the employees appeared more at ease and happier when the manager was not present. Strong leadership should uplift and support employees, not belittle them. I hope this concern is taken seriously, as it impacts both the staff and...
