Our wait time was only about 20 minutes which was not bad for a Sunday morning around 10:45. The hostess was very polite upon seating us at a unwiped table. She immediately began wiping it off before placing our menus down. Our server came within 5 minutes of being seated and took our drink order. I noticed a family of 3 that had been seated about 10 minutes before us. They had still not placed their order at the time we were getting our drinks. I had to stop our server and ask for flatware since we didn’t have anything to stir our coffee with. Our service was acceptable and we received almost everything at the same time. The biscuits were later coming out to the table and were barely warm. The dining room was getting quite busy at this time and I noticed that the family of three had still not received their food. They did have their drinks by this time. I made the comment to my husband that three other tables had already received their food and this particular table had not. I was getting upset for them because I felt the servers were so busy that they were not able to properly provide good customer service. When their food finally arrived, they still had to wait on flatware to eat with. There were two other tables besides us that had to request to get flatware after the food had arrived. It is this writers opinion that the servers were being too overwhelmed at one time to pay close attention to the small details and to provide acceptable customer service. The kitchen staff were also overwhelmed and were struggling to get the food prepared and ready for the servers due to the volume of guests being seated so close together. When we were leaving, the family of three were finally getting their flatware to start eating. Remember, they were seated 10 minutes before us and the table next to us. Yet both of us had already eaten and were leaving by the time their food got to their table. It is my opinion their meal should have been compted and they were owed an apology! When I got to the register I requested to speak to a manager. When the manager came up, I explained to her what had happened and made the suggestion to at they should slow down the customers being seated to give the kitchen staff and servers time to catch up so that they could have a more positive experience. The manager never said a word. She just looked at me and never said anything. I apologized for giving her my opinions but that as a former restaurant owner and manager, I felt she should be aware of the situation that was occurring and how the customers were feeling. Still no response from her. Since I got absolutely no response from her whatsoever, I turned and walked away. As a customer experiencing the disarray, I felt she needed to be made aware of what was happening in her dining room that she was responsible for. If you’re not aware of an issue, you can’t take corrective measures to adjust it. In my experience it would have been a simple solution to fix and give staff a time to regroup and adjust in order to make the dining experience for the customers a more...
Read moreWorst Cracker Barrel experience I have EVER had. Everything seemed okay until the moment we sat down. It took the waitress about 20 minutes to even come to our table. Had to signal the manager over and said we didn’t have a server yet. She said “she’s coming” and walked away. Kinda ignorant because as a manager isn’t your job to make sure everything is running smoothly and satisfy your customers? We proceeded to wait another 15 minutes until someone finally came. Since we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes we had more than enough time to look at the menu and decide what we wanted. So we ordered along with our drinks and about 5 minutes later she brought our drinks and left. After another 10-15 minutes she finally brings the cornbread and biscuits. Then we wait for an entire hour. From 12:54pm- 1:50pm. I swear we debated just getting up and walking out. While we were waiting there were also flies just flying around our table and others nearby. I literally saw a waitress at another table just whisk the fly away from her face. I walked past the kitchen to use to restroom and saw another fly fly in. Absolutely disgusting because it just confirmed how nasty the kitchen must be if there were FLIES out in the dining area. I told my parents when I came back from the bathroom we should leave, I am 25 and went to change my babies diaper. When I came back they said we should wait another 5 minutes and then leave. So we did and just as we’re getting up to walk out the food coincidentally was ready. My eggs were cold, my husbands pancakes were cold, not sure what the wait was for if we were just going to be served COLD food. My mom, ordered a house salad with honey mustard as an appetizer and while our food arrived, she was still waiting on her salad, and when she brought it they gave her the WRONG salad with ranch. This whole time, my drink was long gone empty. I ordered a Coke Zero and the waitress had came to the table at least maybe 3-4 times and did not refill my drink. When I finally asked for more Coke Zero she didn’t even acknowledge me and just walked away. My stepdads potato didn’t arrive until everyone was done eating. She finally brings my Coke Zero, only to find out it’s a cherry coke. Just pathetic!! I would say the waitress didn’t not make the experience more bearable, in fact everyone looked like they didn’t want to be there down to the manager, maybe besides the hostess who greeted us with a smile but that’s about it. We were only a party of 5 and we were at this location for almost THREE hours. I have dined in at other restaurants with a party of 10 and we didn’t have to wait that long. We usually annually stop at this Cracker Barrel on our way back to ATL from our FL trip and have been without a miss for the past 9 years but no more, the service has only gone DOWNhill and bad. Told my parents I’d rather go to CFA 1.5 miles down the road. That’s how awful this entire experience was, I would rather eat fast food then dine here ever again, which we will never ever again do. Just don’t...
Read moreMe and a party of three others went to this location to get a quick meal and left with a sucky story to tell. We enter the store and immediately get bothered by multiple workers. Asking us if we need something 5 consecutive times is one thing, leaning over our shoulders and following us around is another. I get it, we were dressed in clothing some would call sloppy (we were traveling so we were just in comfy car clothes), and so it was easy to assume we were shopping lifting, but that was a bit much. Me and my brother couldn’t walk around without getting stared at and getting our space invaded. At some point one of the staff came up to one of our party members asking if she could take her stuff up to the front (this is a method to catch shop lifters and give them a chance to hand over their stuff instead of steal it). The only issue with this is that she had nothing in her hands and no pockets to hide anything in in the first place. Then there was the restaurant. They took our order, and then an hour of waiting passed. She kept telling us our stuff would come out next, and after about five or more tables around us that showed up twenty minutes or so after us began to get our stuff we started getting impatient. (Another table near us was having the same problem and called the manager). We finally got our food and most of it was cold as if it was sitting out or something along those lines. I also got fries instead of green beans, which is what I ordered, and I never even got offered fries in the first place so that was kind of strange. We all got pretty screwed over on the amount of fries we got as well. We quite literally only got five fries per person 😅. We told the lady at the front desk that our experience was bad, and she really asked us if we wanted to buy some candy since we had a bad time. I’m sorry, WHAT- XD. Update: During revising this to make sure there weren’t any typos, we get a call from our fourth party member that her stomach had been absolutely destroyed by the burger she ate. Over all it was terrible experience and we were ready to be out of there by the time...
