I just had this for the first time last night. Best Gyro I’ve ever had in my life! Best hummus I’ve ever had too. I was blown away, so much so I called my mom (she likes hummus as much as I do) and told her next time she comes to visit me I’m taking here there and I raved about the food. I was so impressed I decided to go today for brunch, had been up since 6 am and it’s was now one so I was starving. I got the same gyro I had last night and then I decided to try the falafel, I never had falafel before but the falafel burrito sounded good. Went to get some soda and the coke was out of syrup so I told one the ladies working and they assured me they would handle it, so I got some tea ate the gyro, then went to grab some soda and the machine still had not gotten a new syrup bag for the coke (must’ve been eating there for 20 minutes before I went to get some the second time). Finished my huge gyro and hummus with pita bread, it was great, was still a bit hungry, so I started to dig into the falafel, tasted good, but it was really dry. I figured some taziki would do the trick. When I asked for some I was told there is an up charge for taziki, and I don’t like when companies try to charge for sauce, so I split out of there and threw the falafel away. I don’t know if it’s worth coming back to this place now after that...
Read moreHaven’t tried the food yet, just wanted to give some brand critique of my initial impressions while waiting for my food for the first time. I really like the chipotle inspired branding from the crew shirts to promo videos, to the paper packaging. However I don’t see the advantaged having cameras in the dining area, kitchen is fine that’s pretty standard. I felt a bit over stimulated waiting for my food with TV’s and TV menu boards on all sides bombarding me with promotional videos quickly flashing and paning for scene to scene- I get that you want to establish the brand more and set up a narrative but do I really need to be subjected to this so strongly during my dinning experience? I liked being exposed to the content but I would have rather seen it elsewhere, after the first 30 seconds it was nauseating, (while my order was remade-got chicken vs falafel nbd) with a loud upbeat mediterranean sound track. I miss the line chipotle has with the experience of seeing your food made but you know show me the strengths of the current set up. Check out Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill for some comparisons.
Anyway, I’m sure the food will be tasty, I think this brand has solid foundations but I would like to see some minor tweaks made, or at least some more intention put into the...
Read moreWe arrived 20 mins before close, and the girl who was cleaning, did not look happy we walked in. Instead of a hello from any of the staff, immediately we were told it's take out only. No problem with that, we weren't looking to dine in. We ordered our food and the girl at the register was very friendly and answered our questions about the dishes, and reassured us, we can order whatever we what, regardless of time. My food came out great, I ordered the mini Falfal, which was phenomenal, but my husband ordered the shawarma, "spicy", and for some reason, they smothered it with their hot sauce. They put so much he couldn't even taste the food, and only the sauce. I think his food would have tasted amazing had they not done that. I understand why they are jaded with customers who show up late, we actually saw a family of 4 show up at 8:59 expecting to dine in, but to treat everyone the same is not nice. Perhaps you'll get a better experience during the day, but I will say, what I ordered tasted amazing. I recommend giving this...
