NEVER have I ever had an issue in this store, but Nancy T. (the cashier) is RUDE. All I asked Nancy T. to do was please place some of their wrapping paper for fragile items in my bag so that I can wrap my items when I am ready to store them. While placing items in my cart I noticed her wrapping the items. I said, “oh, you don’t have to do that, you’ve got a line and I don’t want to hold the line up, you can just place the paper in the bag, but I appreciate it.” Instead of saying, “ok, thank you,” she responded, “well you said you wanted them wrapped, you weren’t specific so I was wrapping them.” If you refer to my statement I asked her to put the paper in the bag, I NEVER asked her to wrap my items. In fact the items I requested paper for should have been wrapped, but Nancy T. decided to place them in a bag without wrapping them which is why I asked for the paper. She needs a position where she doesn’t have to work with people because as I was walking away she was rude to the elderly woman behind me. She will be the person that causes a scene because not everyone will see past or ignore her rudeness. I will NEVER allow her to serve me again.
To Nancy T., when working in retail it is unnecessary to be rude or snippy with any customer ESPECIALLY when they have been kind and pleasant. I don’t know what went on or could be going on in your personal life, but I pray that things get better for you because the attitude that you presented was rude and inappropriate, especially for your work environment. As humans we have bad days, but it should NEVER for any reason be acceptable to ruin someone else’s day because you aren’t having a good day.
To Nancy T’s Manager, I highly recommend retraining Nancy T. and maybe giving her another position to fill in the store if this is her everyday attitude. Maybe she is pleasant in front of management, but an employees true character shows when they are working with customers. Consider hiring secret shoppers, maybe then you will see who and...
Read moreI was extremely dissatisfied with my return experience. As a customer service representative myself I understand ALL customers should be treated equally including the ones who are making returns. “Lamya” was the associate assisting me. She told me she couldn’t look up my receipt, having formerly worked for the company I knew she was lying. I said I have the debit card that was originally used she still seemed to think she could not help me. I asked again for the 3rd time “so you can’t lookup my receipt if I know the date of purchase and I have my debit card that was used during the original transaction?” At this point I had even pulled up my bank statement that has the POS# she finally admitted she cold do the return but had to yell at another associate very loudly “is this from here!?” “Was this item purchased from our store?!” “Do we even sell these” When clearly there were stickers on the items. I believe she wanted to make my experience as miserable as possible because she actually had to do something other than ring me out. Would rather drive 25 miles it’s to the Prattville location than be treated...
Read moreWhile shopping in hobby lobby, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:15 AM, I was having trouble finding an item. I had the item pulled up on my phone and I approached an older caucasian male setting an end-cap. I said to him “excuse me sir can you help me?” He did not reply. I said a little louder once again, “excuse me sir.” Still no reply. I then walked off believing the man to be deaf or have a hearing problem. I got one aisle away, only to hear a soft-spoken caucasian female walk up to him and say, “can you help me find this item?” Heimmediately turn to assist her. I stood there with my mouth open in disbelief. As she walked towards me I then said something to her along the lines of, “I just spoke to him trying to get assistance and he ignored me.” I said this loud enough for him to still hear it and yet he never looked up at me. If there is a problem with color then perhaps you should not be working in a customer service industry. You have no control over what color your shoppers are sir!! I later found this person to be the store manager, Rodney....
