Hunan Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Montgomery

Only giving 3 stars because the woman working was nice enough to fix my order, which I appreciated. However, I will never be spending my money here again.. First, I placed an online order for Kung Pao Shrimp lunch as well as a Hot and Sour soup. I get my food and rush out because I had a meeting to attend and needed something on my stomach, so I didn't get to check my order like I normally do (shouldn't really have to, but it's Montgomery and people make mistakes). I get to my destination and realize they gave me chicken instead of Shrimp. Plus soup tasted a bit burnt, so I had to rig it and get it to taste ok..

I called back, but obviously didn't have time to go back until later, which is frustrating all around. I get back out into rush hour traffic to have the order corrected. Get home to have 4 shrimp in the box out of all of the rice and veggies. I get food is expensive and I ordered the lunch, but seriously? If I wanted a Kung Pao Vegetable I would've ordered that.. A bag of shrimp costs $6 in some places and I highly doubt these are the highest quality ingredients on the market.. It's bad enough I had to waste more time and gas to return then wait on it because my order was wrong in the first place. Now to barely have any protein (which is what you're ultimately charging me for and of course shrimp costs more than chicken and vegetables on any menu), is just frustrating. At least the flavor was ok, but my appetite is so gone now with all of this, I don't even want it anymore. Definitely wasted money on this place and will be hungry...

Spacious Parking For 18 Wheeler Trucks!! This was one of the best little kept secrets located inside that plaza, especially for Chinese food in Montgomery! Me and my lady chose this place over the stir fry eatery located adjacent to it on the corner. And boy were we surprised, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious 🤞🏽😋!! Fried wings, egg foo young, shrimp lo mein, general tso, vegetable fried rice, and hot & spicy shrimp. The only items that weren’t too tasty were the egg rolls and mainly because they tasted like raw cabbage 💁🏽‍♂️… but keep in mind they are complimentary sides. The tea and lemonade was decent and the restaurant was fairly quiet and spacious. The family of Chinese ppl who work there are very friendly, as they forgot to put the egg foo young gravy and the hot & spicy shrimp in our to go bag. It took us about 2 hrs to return to pick it up, but it was warm and ready upon arrival! They even gave us complimentary drinks on the house to accommodate our troubles. I would recommend this place over and over and it’s definitely on our to go list the next time we are traveling thru...

Great food and great customer service. This is the absolute BEST place in town to go for Chinese food.

I ordered from this place for the first time tonight as I was tired of my usual go to place (due to their terrible customer service every time I went in but not this place!). Shortly after ordering, my car would not start and after an hour of trying to get it to start they called me to let me know my food was ready (rightfully so as it had been an hour since I had placed my order). Even then they were still so polite and after I explained my situation, I offered to re order on grub hub so I could pay for my food that way since I still could not get my car to start but the man on the phone immediately offered to drop my food off as they were slow at the moment and I only lived 5 minutes away. Upon arriving, the man went above and beyond and even helped me jumpstart my car. You cannot ask for better customer service than that. The only place I will be ordering from and recommending...
