I live pretty close this place since I moved to Medina County about a year ago. It’s always been on my radar for a nice dinner sometime. A friend of mine and his birthday party there last night. I was pretty excited. Upon walking in I was greeted by the host and seated at a table. That was apparently the incorrect table. Another server came up and escorted me to the back room, where the party actually was seated. I don’t know what the reason for this next part was since everything comes out of the same kitchen, however, in this back room, we were only given a whopping three dinner options to choose from. I inquired as to whether or not, I could get the dish that I really wanted from the full menu that I had seen after being seated at the wrong table and was promptly told no I don’t think so but I’ll check with the manager. Our server, who was great by the way, did check with the manager but came back and said nope they said absolutely not. None of the three options were particularly appetizing sounding but I did pick one of those three and I’ll be honest I would’ve never ordered it if I had other options. It was really was not very good at all. If I’m paying for a meal, I would actually like it to be what I would like to eat so that I can enjoy the meal as well as the company with a group of close friends. Shame on the manager for not being accommodating and god forbid I had any dietary restrictions it didn’t seem like they took any of that into consideration either. Be better and give your patrons what they want
This response from the restaurant would make sense if there wasn’t a table setup for nearly the same amount of people and offering the full menu. Do you pick and choose what parties you offer the full menu for? 😔
Furthermore, if you still have to make a prepare meals based on what large party guests choose from a limited menu and don’t prepare pre selected meals in advance then what does it actually matter and how is that easier on the restaurant? We had to pick from this paltry limited menu and then still had to wait just as long if not longer than other patrons in the main dining room. I could see if people pre selected meals like at a wedding but that was simply not the case. It simply...
Read moreWent here this past New Years Eve. When I made the reservation I specifically asked if the regular, everyday menu would be offered and was told "YES". When we sat down for dinner we were given their "New Years Eve" menu which of course did not have most of the entrees that we were planning on ordering. We understand that restaurants often change their menus on Holidays (for price gouging or to limit things because of being very busy) which is why we tried to make sure that a full, regular menu would be offered (a lot restaurants also offer their everyday menu on Holidays). We did not appreciate being "lied to" and would have left but decided to stay since we didn't want the hassle of trying to go somewhere else. As for the dining experience, here is the good and bad. The Good: Food is really well prepared and tasteful, compliments to the Chef. The atmosphere is also nice. The Bad: Hostesses were young women who seem somewhat "disinterested". Service was slow and not very hospitable (waitress was not friendly, we have been to bigger places on Holidays and received much better service). The food portions were "small", and the wine pours were among the worst we have ever had (3-4 sips max, we have had larger pours at wine tastings). To top things off, there was a critique card in our bill which I filled out but never received any response back from the manager or owner. So if you want good food and are not concerned about portions or service this is a good place. We will not be coming back as we look for service and value along with good food...
Read moreAfter an afternoon of axe throwing at a local establishment, our friends invited us to One Eleven Bistro to end the evenings activities.
We had a reservation so we were sat quickly although the restaurant was fairly empty when we first arrived (around 5:30pm on a Saturday) this changed rather quickly and most tables were full by 6:15 or so.
From what our friends had told us, the menu and dishes rotate so most of the dishes they had been recommending on the drive over were no longer being offered.
We started with an order of French fries and wasabi mayo potstickers. Both were quite good and the entire table had no complaints about either dish.
While having a hard time deciding on a meal, I ultimately choose an order of tamales. Which was not a choice I had expected to make at a more upscale restaurant such as this.
Was pleasantly surprised but how well plated the dish was and how tasty it turned out. The flavors in the dish really complemented one another and it was an overall solid dish.
The rest of our group all enjoyed their various choices as well. No complaints from anyone on their food choice. There was a bit of plate sharing as people were sampling others' meals.
Overall, service was excellent, staff stopped by frequently to top off water, check on the table, and take away dishes quickly.
Not a location I would visit frequently but one more for special occasions or celebrations I think. Pricing was decent but it was on the slightly higher side all...
