We were in from Tulsa and was recommended Hidalgo's by a local for a good place to stop in for lunch on the way out of town. When we arrived, we were seated quickly. The server came and got our drink order, and we asked what they liked on the menu. The server didn't have a great deal of knowledge on a few of the menu items that my wife asked about. My wife ordered the lunch street tacos (with no onions and lots of cilantro), but they did not come with rice and beans. The server advised of a $5 upcharge for them, not a huge deal but seemed high. The food arrived, and the tacos had very little cilantro when asked for extra. She asked for more as there was hardly any on them and was told that was another $2 upcharge (reminder she took off the onions that came on them). That was a little upsetting. The server didn't say, "Let me see what I can do," just straight to that's an upcharge bringing the meal to almost double the menu price at this point. In the end, the server went to the manager when we asked them to, and the manager did bring out more cilantro at no extra charge. The whole experience just seemed like a money grab over something that cost less than $1 a bushel at the grocery store and no focus on taking care of the customer. The food was mediocre (hince my no comment in the first review that I left). Based on this experience, we will not be...
Read moreWe have gone to this location many times since it opened and the experience is always different but one thing remains the same. The QUESO!!!! It's the best. They have a white queso option but it's hit or miss. They are very pricey, the service is always terrible. Our experience on Saturday was when walked in, we were greeted by a bunch of ppl in the front, I said we are a party of 6. I need 2 high chairs and a sling please. We got directed to our table then got left. We had to go find high chairs and a sling ourselves (as if our hands weren't full enough with 2 toddlers and a baby) the Waiter took our drink order. We ordered our toddlers lemonade and it was then we realized our waiter didn't understand basic English because they brought out something orange for the toddlers. Then when he took our order he didn't understand us so the food that got brought to us was all wrong. I ordered mine meat and cheese only and I got pico, lettuce everything on the tacos (I'm allergic to pico) my husband ordered a nacho with steak and he brought him bean and cheese nachos. After we got it all fixed I asked the waiter for a to go cup of just ice ( I have chronic nausea and ice helps) he brought me an empty cup. That's when we have up and left. 🤦♀️ This is the experience we get 75% of the time that...
Read moreIt looks like a normal strip mall restaurant but the inside is colorful and has a very open layout. When you first get seated, they bring fresh homemade chips, salsa, cheese sauce and soft tortillas. I ordered a perfect Margarita, and the presentation was absolutely amazing with diced up fresh Watermelon and limes in a beautiful glass with seasoned salt around the rim. The cocktail was absolutely perfect, the bartender was super friendly and quick. My food came out within minutes of ordering, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted absolutely delicious. This is Tex-Mex at its finest. The staff is extremely friendly and quick to respond to your needs.
I don’t normally leave reviews unless the place is bad lol but I wanted to give this place some credit because so many restaurants are just 2-3 star average these days. This restaurant is delivering on all the key points. Prices were completely reasonable and average, My entrée was the same price as a fast food hamburger meal at most places. I don’t live in town, but every time I have to work in the Moore area, I know where to eat now. There are a bunch of options in the area, but not many of them are highly rated and my past experiences at other places were meh like an Italian place that looks like...
