We often frequent this place and get the lunchbox deal. Most of the time, our orders are made correctly. However, today we came in and ordered two lunchboxes with a shrimp sushi roll in each. Both boxes had a crab roll in them. We called and the person on the phone told us that they would remake the sushi roll and we should come and pick it up. When we came to pick it up, the person at the counter denied that it was made incorrectly and demanded to see the roll. It was a complete 180 from the phone call. We didn't bring the box with us as we thought the issue was resolved. We even went as far as to have a picture of the roll sent to us. When they saw the picture they zoomed in and insisted that it was shrimp and not crab. At that point, it seemed like they were determined to not believe us which was fine but as we were in the middle of the conversation, the employee turned away abruptly and started talking to another customer, simply cutting us off. This is not the first display of unprofessional behavior that we have experienced at both the Moore and Norman locations and most of the time we let it go, but this was a little too far. This place has great sushi and it's very unfortunate that its employees are so rude. We will be finding a new go-to...

I had been brought here prior by family but wanted to come back and discover if I simply had rose tinted glasses in memory. Volcano is a modest size sushi bar with several options of wines, sake, beer and spirits. While my drinking days are behind me this was something that I enjoyed seeing such well equipped bars.

I ordered the fried Takoyaki as my appetizer the balls of takoyaki melted in my mouth as a flood of sweet, slightly salty but very savory tastes overtook my taste buds. The takoyaki was thoroughly cooked and absolutely delicious.

For a primary entree I picked out the Double Crunch roll. With all rolls here it came out with pristine conditions. On first bite the cream cheese and avocado exploded in my mouth, then the crunch as the crunchy topping met my teeth. It left a mild burn from the spicy mayo inside, but not overwhelmingly hot.

During my visit the waitresses were very attentive filling my glass prior to it even getting below half full. Overall impressions, I am very happy with the level of service at this restaurant and hope to see its success for many years to come as it will become a staple visit when I come into the okc area...

Oh... my... GAWD, this place is amazing. My husband and I went here yesterday for lunch, and we were absolutely floored by how good everything was. We both ordered the lunch boxes and then ordered a Los Angeles roll to split. My box included a shrimp roll and the chicken teriyaki (which I got for my 11-month old son, but he didn't want it), and it also came with soup, cucumber salad, and rice. The chicken teriyaki is hands-down, the best I have ever had in my 40 years. I'm not exaggerating. The combination of flavors was intertwined so that not one overpowered another. My eyes rolled back into my head while eating it, and I wanted to lick the sauce out of the box, but I refrained only because I was in public. The Los Angeles roll... ugh... eyes rolled back again... some moaning ensued.... Needless to say, this is our sushi spot. Oh, and the prices for such delectable-ness? Let's just say Sprouts' $5 Sushi Wednesdays has been replaced in our...

Tried this place on a whim, searching for dinner in OKC while in vacation. Based on their 4.6 google rating we had high hopes.... We were NOT disappointed! The service was outstanding, and the good was great! We tried a variety of things from sushi, rolls, noodles and hibachi. The hibachi shrimp was cooked to perfection in a very flavorful sauce. It came with lo mein, fried rice and veggies. Next was the yakisoba, again great flavor and good portion size, just wish the chicken was not diced so small. But that's being picky. We tried the empire roll and the crazy jalapeno appetizer, pictured. And the fish tasted fresh and delicious. As of April 30th, they are offering dine in, take out and pick up.

Volcano Sushi is by far the best place to eat in Moore and has to be among the top ten in the state.. This is the real experience. When you get there you will be greeted by the owner in person and treated as if you are his most important customer. Volcano offers a wide variety of dishes from traditional sushi and sashimi to lots of original rools too. They also offer hibachi style meals, noodle bowls, and soups. Don't forget the sake. On the weekend there will be a wait for a table. It is worth it. This is a tiny restaurant by any standard but it adds to the charm. If you are feeling adventures ask to sit in the room with traditional Japanese style seeting.
