I almost walked out and should have. The company would have lost more than the upcharge for fresh mozzarella cheese if I had but I was hungry.
Three sets customers were in line with the woman working complaining to everyone about how busy she was, that she was working alone, and that it would take a while to get to everyone. I felt at the moment I walked in the door that she would prefer that the customers leave. I saw no delay in service time. The short wait was just made unnecessarily awkward and uncomfortable due to the employee complaining. Just before I approached the counter, another employee arrived and began working veggies and the register.
I asked for an off-menu sandwich. I was cut off while describing my sandwich order; “What’s on it” so I told her. Like, May I please tell you my order? I don’t HAVE TO BE HERE!
On a chicken sandwich with pepperoni and marinara, it is going to be expected that mozzarella is the preferred cheese. She didn’t bother telling me they were out of shredded mozzarella. She asked what kind of cheese I’d like. I said; “mozzarella” and she told me; “we don’t have mozzarella” which I found odd because I know I have ordered it before. She then told me that they had fresh mozzarella but that it would be an upcharge.
I said; “okay.” Then, as she was getting it, I said; “I thought they had shredded mozzarella that they usually put on it.” She snapped at me; “We do have it. We’re out. Do you want provolone, cheddar…” continued to name off cheeses, then asked; “or do you want the mozzarella for an upcharge?”
I told her; “yes. I just said that.” I was embarrassed. I am nerodivergent and have aspergers. I know I was clear. Again, at that moment, I should have walked out and left the chicken, sauce, pepperoni, and bread for the trash.
I began to walk out but the other woman who just came in was very nice. I would like to tip her for her service if possible but chose not to tip because I didn’t want the tip being shared with the woman who was so rude because she was busy. I didn’t rush her. That upcharge and her attitude costed the tip I intended to leave and that upcharge had lost this location a customer for good. No refund or compensation necessary. I won’t be back to use it. Good luck staying in business with employees complaining. I told them if she didn’t like her job, she could get another one. I didn’t do the hiring. She did attempt to reconcile her attitude by offering a joke but I cut my eyes at her and ignored her comment.
Side note: get the damn woman some help. It ain’t her fault that she’s overworked. I’m quite aware that she chose her behavior due to her work environment, so, before rattling her cage, y’all need to clean your own and maybe she will be more I’ve worked there. I know how greedy and demanding they are.
Lastly; an upcharge item is always complimentary in restaurants if the ly have deplete the source of the menu item. It is and accommodation,...
Read moreEvery time I have been to this location I have been disappointed. Even though this is the closest subway to my home, after what happened today I will never go back. The staff was completely rude. We weren't greeted at all, and we were the only people in there, besides a couple already seated and eating. We ordered 3 subs and said thank you after each person helped us. When we got to the check out we handed the girl a $20 bill. She took 10 mins to make sure it wasn't fake. I could see if she was checking $100, but she held it up in the light 3 times, stared at it, rubbed it several times and even used the marker to test it. It took her so long to make sure it wasn't counterfeit that subs started piling up. My mother went to grab a bag she thought was ours and the cashier jerked it out of her hands. First off, she picked this bag up on accident and hadn't even got it off the counter, secondly she should have never yanked something out of any customers hand and at this point she had not even said anything. I had to tell my mother she grabbed the wrong bag, and my mother apologized to the cashier and she still never said a word. The girl was looking all hot and heavy for the young guy behind us Instead of even worrying about the terrible customer service she was giving. Needless to say this subway and employee sucks!!!...
Read moreLike many people have said in the reviews I showed up at 9:13 when the sign on the door said that they close at 9:30… The neon open sign was lit up on the outside of the building, and there was actively people standing at the counter, having their sandwich made. I was standing in line waiting my turn, and the woman making the sandwich said that they were no longer making any more sandwiches. I have already driven down the road gotten Arby’s, Have eaten my food, And I have written this review And it’s still not even 930 yet. I had a similar experience at the subway two months ago But I just assumed it was a one off experience…. Between the reviews and my experience seems to be a pretty consistent issue. To the ownership: It doesn’t take A lot of time or effort to make a new sign for your front door, And also adjust your times that are...
