EL DFectuoso — Restaurant in Moreno Valley

After years of being a regular, I am appalled by the dishonest and frankly fraudulent practices now occurring at EL DFectuoso. The new, young staff at the register are routinely double-charging customers for their meals. This has happened to me repeatedly. What makes this even more infuriating is their response when confronted: they outright lied, stating that their 'machine double charges all the time and you need to dispute it with your bank.' This is a blatant deception! It's not the customer's responsibility to fix their persistent, self-admitted billing errors by opening disputes with their own financial institutions. Furthermore, every attempt to reach a manager to address this has been met with excuses about them being unavailable or not on site. This is a business operating without any apparent management oversight, actively overcharging customers, and then lying about their responsibility. Okay where do I begin...... how about the incredible music that draws you in had me and my kids dancing in the parking lot, then the warm welcome where we are allowed to choose to sit wherever we'd like. Where I grew up my best friend's family was from Mexico City the same place that the beautiful people at this restaurant are from and are the reason why I fell in love with Mexican food and culture. I ordered my very favorite breakfast huevos rancheros and my kids ordered chicken quesadillas but before we had a chance to try the food we tried the horchata, Jamaica, Tamarindo and strawberry waters which were all authentically made and not powders; at that point I knew I was in the right place.
