Margaritas Grill Restaurant and Catering — Restaurant in Moreno Valley

My heart is broken... we love this place and maybe they are having an off day however this has been the worst service of my life. We arrived 6:45 it took 20 minutes for the server to even approach the table and than it took 30 mim for alcoholic beverages to arrive and it took 1 whole hr to bring everyone's soft drinks. The drink runner came to our table after we asked for more chips and salsa and she said "her manager asked why she has been taking excessive salsas to the table and if she brings more they will have to charge extra" maybe bc we are starving.. wow are you kidding me with that!?!?!?....It took almost 2 hours for all of us to be served our food and it came out at different times. Sadly this will keep us from ever dinning in at this place again. Their food is amazing and reasonably priced but the service was unacceptable...... the the manager /owner response our yelp review very rudely to be Clear our entire party was present by 7:15 and the fact that your response was accusatory and insulting shows the lack of professionalism you possess to give good service.... you can not use covid as an excuse for bad service.... you as a owner/manager should be giving nothing more then a apology for the bad service given. Drove by many times and finally decided to stop. The parking lot was almost empty. It'll felt a little weird being the only ones there. We went inside, it looked like there was only one customer. We stood around for a while, no one greeted us. We had to look around to find someone to seat us. They took us to our tables, gave us menus. They did not give us chips and salsa. We waited a while and had to ask for chips and salsa. We ordered food, some items were reasonably priced. Others were outrageous. It was $29 for Carney Assad. You were a little surprised about the service. You would expect when you're the only ones there. That the service would be great. But that was far from the case. Terrible terrible. Got there and had to wait (thats fine) they bring out the food all serand wrapped so I can't open to check it. Then he tells me to wait bc he forgot the kids drink, at that time I asked about the salad, come to find out they forgot that too. I take home the order and the food is sad, barely any rice and beans, soggy fries, no Tortillas to go with the carnitas plate, no tostadas to go with the ceviche, just ceviche in a container. They also put slices of oranges all over everything including the beans and cheese and the fries, makes no sense. Called to report the issues, was told to come back for a full refund no need to bring the food, I'm on my way and call back to ask about it again and confirm, the next person says they don't have permission to refund without the full order...when I specifically asked the girl on the phone the first time before I threw it away.
