Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders — Restaurant in Morgantown

Okay first and foremost I have to say this was the best chicken tenders I have ever had! They were juicy and perfectly cooked and just so tender and delicious! The french fries paled in comparison as they seemed like frozen crinkle cut fries, seasoned with way too much seasoning afterwards. My only two complaints would be that there was quite a few flies in the dining room which was very frustrating. We sat towards the front but you could also see them back near the garbage cans. My second complaint is my husband ordered a grilled chicken tender Buffalo sandwich and instead received a breaded chicken tender sandwich. I had just got done asking the lady if they had grilled tenders without breading and she assured me they did. He specifically asked for a grilled Buffalo sandwich without breading and then whenever she asked for my order she asked if I wanted grilled also to which I replied no. But she must have keyed in wrong because while we were eating I checked and even our receipt did not say grilled. So needless to say he only ate one bite of his sandwich and neither one of us ate more than two french fries. But again my chicken tenders were top...

My coworkers and I were debating on where to get lunch as a Thursday treat and ended up deciding on Huey Magoo's. I'm very glad we did! Ordering was simple and easy.

The breaded chicken tenders were expertly cooked, being done all the way through and still extremely tender and juicy. The breading was just enough to accent the chicken without being greasy. The seasoning was flavorful, but light enough to complement the dipping sauces. All of the sauces had a wonderful flavor and had an amazing dipping consistency. My favorite was the barbecue sauce, which had subtle notes of hickory smoke and a mild sweetness.

The fries had a mildly firm bite, but were a little light on seasoning. The chips were crisp, flavorful, well-seasoned, and were delightfully free of excess oil. The toast was generously buttered and had a lingering taste of garlic, refreshing the palate and allowing for longer lasting enjoyment of the wonderful meal.

This order revitalized our workday and gave us a lot to talk about. Thank you...

I’m honestly having a tough time believing that the existing reviews aren’t paid. This is not a good restaurant, and God only knows how bad I wanted it to be.

Ordered via Uber Eats, I live less than 1 mile from the restaurant but am currently injured and can’t walk. Point being, not a lot of travel time.

Chicken was under seasoned, very small pieces, not crispy. Breading was caked on rather than crunchy and flaky. No spicy option, seriously?

Fries were cold, like biting into a raw potato. Barely seasoned in spite of ordering extra. Full portion was tiny.

Chips had a great texture but almost zero seasoning and incredibly bland. Ranch was okay, more milky than dilly. Pickles side is overpriced and falling apart. Toast was soggy.
