Cook Out — Restaurant in Morristown

We visited on Friday April 28th, young man on speaker at menu board must have been preoccupied because we asked what the shake of the month was about 4 times he never gave us an answer, the last time we inquired about the monthly shake he said all shakes are 4$ and some change? We finally said that was it for our order & proceeded to the window young lady at window was super friendly but handed us our food and didn’t let us know which shake was which? We proceeded home & realized when we got home the entire order was incorrect! I ordered a Cajun chicken tray and they gave me a crispy chicken patty on the sandwich, I ordered fries and hush puppies and there were no hush puppies in my tray, my husband opened his tray and his sandwich was supposed to be plain bbq sauce only and it was fully dressed? He also had French fries in his box which he did not order! He did get hush puppies and he said we could share but they were not like we remembered, definitely not crispy like they used to be more soggy than anything! Tried to call the store and it’s a 1877 number for their headquarters you can’t call the local establishment apparently? On a scale from 1-10 we gave them a 2 ONLY because the young lady at the window was so friendly! Whoever is on the speaker really needs to pay attention to what the customer is saying because we were ignored about the monthly shake & our order was wrong! Ugh! Probably won’t visit this location again for food maybe a shake but definitely a hard NO on the rest of the menu after...

This particular Cook Out has been a great place, and they still have good casual food for dining in or take-out. However, in recent times, the drive-thru service has become indifferent and sloppy. We have come by their drive-thru window on three separate occasions and have received less than favorable experiences. The first of these times they left out the french fries for one of the orders. On another trip, we asked for condiments to be placed in the bags but got none. On this third occasion, the person at the window tried to hand me four drinks, so I asked for a cup holder. They looked grumpy but gave us one. But then they tried to hand us four separate boxes; so I asked him for a bag. Rather than put the boxes in the bag, he handed the boxes back with the bag laid on top of the boxes. Then we realized we didn't get any plastic ware after we pulled away so we drove around to the front, and I went in to get some. We have enjoyed picking up food from this restaurant in the past, and I'd like to think this is a temporary issue. We are going to wait awhile...

The food was okay. First time ordering the walking taco and it was $2.50 for less then a half a bag of Doritos, sprinkle of lettuce, a scoop of sour cream and they put bell pepper instead of jalapeno in it. It was a chip bag out of a variety pack of chips filled less then half way. My son's chicken quesadilla was ate in two bites. Not sure if this is how these two things were served on a regular basis or not. But won't be ordering those if so. I got more fries in the fry bag then I got taco in my walking taco bag and chicken quesadilla. Just saying. Plus they have a drive thru window and a walk up window but no dine in? If you take the person that's running the walk up window and put them at the counter you would beable to have dine in seating. There were 4 girls hanging out around the drive thru window person taking orders and two at the walkup window. So they can't say they were...
