It’s been over a week since I wrote this review… I still have not heard anything back from CAVA. I still have not received my refund…. What restaurant chain that you know of has ever taken over a month to address and issue and refund? Never in my days… I have worked in the travel and hospitality industry for over 34 years. Never have I ever seen such disrespect and lack of effort within a restaurant as I do with CAVA. They have no intention of correcting any situation. It is simple, customer has a problem, restaurant addresses problem and makes customer happy. Pretty simple.. right? Cava’s intent is simple as well… IGNORE the customer. It seems that me being out almost $90 is chump change for them and they feel entities keep it no matter how bad the customers experience is. I WILL STILL FIGHT FOR MY REFUND! AFTER ALL, I WAS PROMISED A REFUND!! Where is it???
If I could give this restaurant a 0 star I would. On my birthday (in the beginning of June) My family and I used their app to order our meals. Almost $100 dollars worth of food. My son in law picked up our meal for my birthday dinner. We ordered everything keto. When we opened up all our bowls, EVERYTHING was wrong on all of our bowls!! I called Cava immediately and spoke to a manager. I was assured that they would take care of reimbursing me and adding additional meals because of the inconvenience. Needless to say, it is now July 16th and I still have not received my refund. I have spoken to multiple people at this location getting the same song and dance about the refund is coming. 🙄 I have emailed their customer support only to be ignored. I am out almost $100 because these people and this business cant figure out what true customer service is. They are not accountable and honestly have no desire to make things right. Read moreEdit: 4/15/2022: I decided to try CAVA again after having a bad experience last year and the employees blew my apprehensions about coming back out of the water.
The line was long (lunch hour) but the workers had a positive attitude and greeted each guest as they walked up to the counter to order. They really listened to each guest as they ordered to ensure accuracy when making the orders and communicated with each other to ensure understanding.
My food was delicious and I'm glad I gave this place a chance again, I'll be back for sure!!
Edit 5/11/2021: I emailed customer service as requested down below. I got apologies and an offer of a credit for the meals through their app. I accepted and downloaded the app but then never heard back from customer service after me emailing them back multiple times. The food isn’t worth it and customer service is awful. I’ll stick with Chipotle...which is what they are trying to emulate but are failing so terribly...both in food quality and customer service. Chipotle’s customer service at least responds (within minutes often) when they mess up and actually follow through with what they say they are going to do. I wish I could give less than 1 star. This is a place you should avoid!
