Yet another BLR brand and given my past experience with the other restaurant from the same franchise in the Town, I was a bit skeptical yet stupid enough to give them a try and lo and behold disappointment strikes yet again. If you’re looking for a TLDR, i’d say the food is bang average and it’s just not worth it.
Let’s first talk about the ambience itself: Locals would remember Tower Restaurant that existed here for a long time. It doesn’t seem like ambience was in budget for new management. It’s still got that same old worn out feel just a bit of plaster on top and whole lot brighter.
Food: This explains why I called it bang average. Akki Rotti-Kai(coconut) chutney is a popular delicacy from Karnataka so I’ll give them that. It tasted pretty good I’d give it a 6/10. Gobi Manchurian(tasted previously) is fine, another 6/10. Masala Puri is good, strong 7/10 because the spices really pop out and that’s where the menu ends. Honestly, this is it. Under no circumstance should one eat their Vada Pav. It’s dripping in oil almost to a point where Exxon would offer them a drilling contract if there was any more oil and guess what the oil is just reused and reheated over and over so it gives you sore throat and wipe it with tissue and it’s yellow. Now for the Pav, it felt few days old, maybe that’s the norm ? Never have I seen a Pav disintegrate due to its dryness yet here we are and it’s $5 a piece. I think there are better places to taste Vada Pav in Morrisville one just right up the street. Vada Pav is what deterred us from ordering anything else, Poori or Bature because the oil (and I know it’s deep fried) is just foul. Mgmt, the prices you charge and the crowd leads me to believe you don’t have to reuse oil to that extent. Nonetheless, your business, your call. Overall experience I would say is strong 5/10 and a strong do...

If you're on the hunt for authentic Indian street food, BLR Food Street could be worth a visit. My recent experience was a mix of hits and misses, and here's the lowdown:
What I ordered: Two Thali meals Gobi Manchurian Chola Puri sabudhana Vada tea
The Hits: The food itself was enjoyable and well-prepared, showcasing the flavors that Indian street food is famous for. The variety offered was delightful—think spicy, tangy, and savory all rolled into one experience! The Gobi Manchurian was crispy and had the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, while the Chola Puri was flavorful and comforting.
The Misses: Service was slower than expected, which can be a bit frustrating when you're eager to dive into your meal. One notable downside was the Thali offering: unlike some other food spots where unlimited Thali refills are the norm, BLR Food Street's Thali is limited. This could leave you longing for a little extra when you're enjoying the dishes so much.
Overall, while BLR Food Street delivered on taste, it could step up in terms of service speed and portion offerings to fully compete with similar establishments. Would I recommend it? Yes, but maybe set your expectations accordingly if you're used to unlimited...
Read moreHave been wanting to support a relatively new business. But a terrible service experience has put us off. We were just in for having tea. As is becoming increasingly common in restaurants to maximize their profits, they expect you to bus your tables. Normally we would, but were deep in conversation, and left our cups at the table. Not a big mess, just couple of cups to be cleared at the table. The lady managing came over from her serving station to the exit door, stopped us in our tracks, and told us sternly we need to clear the table! Like asset protection catching shoplifters trying to sneak away with the silverware. Neither are their prices low enough, nor their food quality high enough, to merit this rude behavior. If it was a small mom-and-pop cafe trying to keep prices low and struggling to survive, I'd still understand. This is part of a big restaurant chain in the area that feels it needs to teach customers a lesson by humiliating them. Great way to antagonize customers patronizing your restaurant in its early days. Not returning to this restaurant or their other properties. And will warn our friends to stay away. Fortunately, there are a lot of other great Indian restaurant options in the area we can take our...
