We just ate there for the first time, based on the recommendation of a Chinese friend whose family used to run a Chinese restaurant.
The dishes were very authentic and were very good. They were also very willing to adjust dishes for people's taste and they did it in a way that the flavors were still very well balanced.
The greatest thing was that Robin (the owner?) had good enough English and knew enough about food to create a special gluten free noodle dish for our very picky 10 year old daughter based on what we could tell him she liked. She loved her dish and it was very exciting for her, because she has not been able to eat Chinese very much because it is so hard to find places you can trust to do Gluten free with no cross contamination. We were especially impressed when he ran back to the kitchen to check his noodles before we ordered, because he said some rice noodles have wheat added to create more of a crunch. Oh, and they only charged us the price of a kids chicken lo mien for her special kids dish. One note for Celiacs, we took our own GF soy sauce because we had called first and Robin had said they did not have any, but they were happy to use ours.
I am not sure that we will go back every week like our our daughter wants, but we will definitely be...
Read moreWhen can I go back?? My experience here is limited to a take out order, for now ; ). First- the smells are delicious. Second, the staff or welcoming and helpful. Third, the food was ready in a flash! Fourth, the food tasted even better than the smells.
I ordered a Thai spicy oodle and a Chinese mixed vegetable entree. The Thai dish had a Chinese feel too it, which is not really a negative. The noodles, flavors, and tofu were cooked just right. It could ha e been spicier, in my opinion. I was blown away by the variety of vegetables in the mixed veggie dish!!! No really- for someone who eats copious amounts of the stuff, variety and newness is something to get excited about! Assorted peppers broccoli, celery, bamboo shoots, carrots, and baby corns. The veggies were not all limp and overcooked. The sauce was light and flavorful.
The prices were something to smile about. 23 bucks for two entrees. There were quite a few diners in the restaurant when I came in. All the dishes looked great. I think there may be a hint of happiness added to each of the dishes in the kitchen :) I'm looking forward...
Read moreUpdated December 2024: The service is definitely lacking and going downhill even when it's not even busy (we were the only customers but no water refill was given nor were we asked how we were doing.) The food is still very delicious with generous portion. I don't recommend dining in anymore.
Me and my boyfriend are always happy to dine in here! The staff is very friendly and nice and the place is clean. They serve authentic and delicious Chinese food. I haven't tried their thai food yet but I believe it is also equally delicious! I always end up ordering their crispy black pepper fish fillet, stir fried eggplant with szechuan garlic sauce, and whichever I feel like getting depending on the day: chow mein, ho fun, chong qing chicken, spicy fish. Sometimes I have to take my time to decide what to get because all of their menu are so freaking delicious. For appetizers I recommend the crab ragoon and pan fried dumplings!! Try stopping by during lunch time for lunch special, it's such a great deal that you don't want to miss out. I always recommend this place to anyone who craves authentic...
