My review of Crumbl from last night is very mixed. And it's too bad as this was our first visit.
Let me start by saying that the cookies, while quite expensive, were delicious! The chilled, pink iced sugar cookie was one of the best I've ever had - and I have tried dozens and dozens of different ones over the years. Very well done!
On the other hand, for a place that looks so cheerful and inviting, the service was some of worst I've ever seen.
I took 3 of my boys for a surprise treat and when we walked in I was the one surprised - while there were a couple of young ladies bustling about cleaning and such, no one greeted us and we were the only customers in the store.
We order our cookies at the kiosk, and give that it was nearly $5 for a single cookie, and I had received no form of service yet I decided not to provide a tip - certainly not a 15% tip which is the smallest option.
We walked up to the counter and one of the young ladies spent less than 30 seconds placing our 4 cookies in a box and placing the box on the counter. So far, definitely nothing I would consider tip-worthy. (For those a bit newer to this world, tips are not automatic. You get tipped for GOOD service!)
But the kicker, and frankly what caused me to write a lengthy review about a lack of service was the sneering smile we received from the young lady representing the store. If looks could kill...
Now I don't know if she had any idea that I hadn't tipped her 15% for her 30 seconds of service, but that was the impression I got.
At some point, I will go back and check Crumbl out again, and I sure hope the service is better because if not I won't be returning...
Read moreI ordered a half dozen of Galaxy Brownie and Cookie Butter Ice Cream cookies. They were absolutely delectable!
When I brought them out to my vehicle I realized I left my wallet inside. Returning to my car, I discovered that my pet Basset Hound found his way into my delicious treats. He was choking and I was freaking out. Luis, the manager, noticed what was going on from inside the store. He rushed outside and saved my precious dog's life, performing some sort of pet sized Heimlich Maneuver! Then, this kind and caring manager, replaced the desserts that Sir Simon, the hound, consumed. Way to go above and way beyond Crumbl Moscow!
You've earned a life long customer.
Now if only there was a store in Butte, MT.
Thank you for...
Read moreIt was a long and dirty road to get here....but I finally made it. It had been 3 days since I last ate and I was dying from dehydration. I had been hiking in the wilderness and was lost from my group. I was out there for at least a week amidst the bears and mountain lions. As I wondered lost I saw the neon glow of that crumbl sign and knew I was saved. I didn't catch his name, but the manager saw the state I was in and immediately served me the finest (also life saving) cookies I've ever eaten, along with a giant glass of water. The cookies and cream flavor really gave me back the sanity I thought I had lost. Thanks to this amazing establishment I can now go back to my family. Thank...
