Huddle House — Restaurant in Moundsville

Food was good. Service was good, until more than just my family was there, but there's only one person who apparently could do anything and that was our server. The two other people there are programmed to say "she'll be with you in a minute" if you look at them. Now, Prior to ordering, The server promoted their current promo that made kids meals free for every adult meal. We got 3 adult meals and 2 kids. One kids meal showed as free, the other did not. I asked her to correct it, she came back and said she took off the drink charge but she couldn't get the meal to ring free. And laid the bill back on our table. I just looked at her confused and she said she was sorry she couldn't do anything further without a manager (so now it's somehow our issue that there's no manager there - I mean come on, I didn't ask for a free kids meal, you people offered it.) so I go to pay and said, so you took off the drink, why can't you just take the meal off too? To which she replied that the only way she could do that was to pay for it herself.

Umm, what??! (I thought to myself) but I didn't say anything.

Long story short, this restaurant is kind of dirty and really really short staffed. If you have issues with your bill or are charged more than you should have been, prepare to pay anyway!! Because they can't fix it, and well, I mean, what do you expect them to pay for it...

We came here in hopes of a good breakfast. My husband and I just got here from Alaska. When we came in, we weren't greeted and had to ask other customers if we needed to wait or if we could just sit anywhere. Once we were sitting, they informed us that they were out of eggs. We thought no big deal, we could wait for the manager to get back with eggs. We went ahead and ordered so that once the eggs got there, they could start cooking. In the meantime, we drank the sweet tea which was really good! The manager came back with the eggs and it seemed like they forgot about us. We were the only people in the restaurant for a long time after the manager got back with the eggs. Other people started coming in and then the cook came up to the table and asked what our order was. He went back and a little bit later we got our food and it was completely wrong. The eggs were burnt. The biscuits were rock hard. They gave us extra bacon and sausage to make up for the fact about having to wait for the eggs but then charged us for the extras. They forgot our waffles and when we asked about them, they took 45 mins to get them to us. Another cook came in and was waiting tables and trying to cook while out waitress just seemed like she was walking in circles. I was very disappointed. Probably won't be back for...

When we are in moundsville at the huddle house it's is usually great BUT today 8-24-16 at 4pm the worst food and service ever I have waitressed for 17 year's and I have to say I doubt if we will be back the waitress and cook were to worried about going outside to play on their phones she basically tossed our silverware and food at us had to ask three times for ketchup and steak sauce which she just dropped on the tab!le again my husband had steak and shrimp his steak he couldn't even eat it looked like it was dropped on the grill brown on one side and totally raw on the other side she never checked on us no drinks refiled there was a total of three tables my husband is a diabetic so boxed up the slop and had to stop by McDonald so my husband doesn't have a drop in his sugar. You ask why we didn't send it back he was afraid by their attitude it would be dropped onto the floor or something. But I kept my cool and tipped never again we really...
