Whit's Frozen Custard Mt. Airy — Restaurant in Mount Airy

two stars because of experience.. Ice Cream is 5 stars because its delicious! First time we went everything was perfect.. second time it was some younger girls working and i asked for something they didnt have but she said they could mix some ingrediants to make what i wanted and i agreed. well i wanted in a waffle cone.. needless to say the things did not make a smoth mix, it was all very watery when she out it in the cone.. as soon as she realized that happened she shouldve asked if i still wanted it and i didnt say anything bc i dont want to be difficult but part of customer service is realizing an issue and making it right.. basically i had a malt if that.. for my other order i asked for a broken waffle cone into the ice cream with caramel.. well very little caramel was put in and half of the cone which im sire i paid for full price anyway.. idk why they just didnt put it in a bigger container.. anywho for that they get a poor rating but the ice cream...

I would give them 10 stars if I could! The owners are awesome- super friendly, easy to talk to and go out of their way to help. I wanted to buy a Whit's t-shirt but they didn't have one in my size so they arranged to have a t-shirt made for me and I was able to pick it up the next day. The custard was awesome too! If you go to Mount Airy for any reason, I HIGHLY recommend you go to Whit's and try a custard and meet the owners!

Edit: Whit's has changed ownership since I wrote my original review. I still give Whit's and the new owners the same 5 star review (would be 10 if I could)! The guy that runs it is super friendly and personable. The custard is still amazing and he even gave us suggestions on whether we should have ours made as sundaes or shakes to make it better. He would have fixed it however we wanted it but we took his suggestions and with no regrets! I still HIGHLY recommend...

Great Frozen Custard, Friendly owner and staff. I love reading reviews, they are helpful and sometimes entertaining. Trophy goes to Tessa Renfro for leaving a 1 star review because the owner of Whit's apparently knew a homeless guy. Let me get this straight....you go in and owner asks, "cash or credit?" You pay with cash. Alleged homeless guy that was in store walks out and then asks you for a couple bucks for McDonald's. The homeless guy that took your $2 or whatever amount does not go to McDonalds ............So Whit's gets a 1 star rating because the homeless guy you could have said NO to did not order a Big Mac in your allotted timeframe . Sounds legit to me LMAO That's why I read the reviews and not just go on...
