This is strictly about the catering! I waited to write a review hoping that something would be resolved but it was not!! I paid to have Pieces Rising cater my wedding and it did not go well. For our second tasting we agreed that our food would sit for 30/45 minutes so that we could taste it how our guests will be tasting and they did not do that for us even with reminders to do this for us and we were assured that they don’t do that and that they would be preparing the food on site. I had to pay extra for napkins and runners 1 week prior to wedding that we had discussed prior but they did not have that style anymore so we had to scramble to RENT the right linens. The day of they were late they were suppose to be there before everyone!I was lead to believe They would be setting up/preparing food at the venue And they did not show up til maybe 4 wedding at 6 Dinner 730, we had Hors d’oeuvres passed out during cocktail hour and the staff did not know what they were passing out, Dinner was Buffet style, but Salad and bread were suppose to be on the tables before my guest sat (per contract)and they were not pushing our dinner time back which in turn shortened our reception. The pork roast with apple gastrique looked AWFUL, the gastrique was supposed to be poured over the pork but it was left in the buffet dishes and it sat which made it look terrible still tasted good but not pleasant to look at… Now my worst problem is with my cake 3 tier cake with cupcakes and there was no leftover cake??? No one can answer me back of what happened to my cake so I assume it got Thrown away and then my cake top which is suppose to be saved and we were told we had to bring our on cake dish to save said cake and that never got used, next day unloading our alcohol we found our cake top in a Sam adams beer box with plastic wrap around it, so needless to say the cake was ruined (pics included) and No one cares also the food was suppose to end up with my mom and it ended up in the alcohol truck and no one was aware that it was food, so that was ruined as well poor planning I guess on my part not keeping track of the catering company on my wedding! But if you use these guys be extra careful because they clearly do not care!

This is my experience with this restaurant but I hope you have a better experience than I did. I blame the management for poor planning on there part and training. I can not recommend this restaurant if you have a gluten intolerant allergy. The menu might have plenty of fish symbols with GF on it but that night the only option was salad or the tuna because they did not have any gluten free bread for all the other dishes. Who wants salad at a upscale restaurant like this ? Right? So I went with the tuna even though I had a tuna sandwich for lunch earlier. They did have avocado tacos which are usually gluten free but the avocado is dipped in regular bread meal and fried. Why? The server originally told me they are gluten free that the printed menu was wrong. They came and I questioned if they were gluten free or not because I was seated outside in the evening low light. I asked another server to double check and a kitchen staff came out to confirm the breading on the avocado 🥑 😳. My server apologized purposely and was very good at serving us but the management needs more training to the staff. I could have very easily went to the hospital for such a mix up but relied on my gut feeling. The tuna came as you can see from the photos the food for everyones dish was every colorful and appetizing looking. I took one bite of the tuna slice and the puffed air rice curls and could not eat another bite. The curls were tasteless, the tuna not something I could eat another bite of, and done with the whole experience at that point. The server was very polite and took it off the bill. The only thing open at that time of night was Chick-fil-A because the dinner reservation was only available late in the evening. The place itself had very cool decor and Ambient energy. There was a live person singing up above us but could not see him. I hope you have a better experience here.

Atmosphere, location & food are top notch! We happened upon this gem in search of a "seafood" restaurant. Upon being sat on the perfectly placed patio (EXCELLENT view of the lake, breathtaking sunsets, and the live band) we were greeted with just the right amount of food & beverage options. We started our evening off with cocktails (the rum runner mojito [probably not the right name?], & a delicious chambord pineapple drink), calamari (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). We ordered the Catch of the day Halibut served on a bed of red rice medley topped with an orange creme burr blanc sauce. We also ordered the whole fish Snapper (flash fried) served on a bed of saffron rice topped with an earthy & savory puttanesca sauce. The Halibut filet featured a super crispy skin with a buttery creamy flesh. The whole Fish red Snapper was crunchy on the outside and peeled off the bones showcasing nice juicy nugget sized bites. We ended the meal with the Lemon Pound Cake & the Red Velvet Cake for dessert. Both were 100% on point but the presentation of the pound cake was phenomenal!

Delicious, beautiful food, comfortable seating, and an awesome view. We visited on a Friday night and there was live music outside. It was a little too loud for me so we opted for indoors. I got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and noticed something brilliant about the food, food served together should be eaten together. The tomatoes themselves? Needed salt. With the pimento and chives? Fabulous. Asparagus on its lonesome? Good. With the cashews and basil sprouts? Amazing. I got a full rack of pork ribs and it was some of the best food I've eaten for a long time. My fiance got the Diplomat and a brisket sandwich. Unfortunately the sandwich didn't quite come together as well as some of the other food. The bread, while delicious, was too fragile to hold the heavy fixings and sagged. The drink was great though. To finish the evening, we ordered the bananas foster, which was made in front of us and was absolutely perfect. It was the right size for two people. I recommend sharing. All in all a wonderful, if pricey, night!

We met friends for breakfast/ brunch here around 11am on a Sunday morning. The restaurant seemed mostly empty inside and out but were told since we didn't have reservations our "large party" of 5 would have to sit outside. That was fine and we were seated quickly. Our server came and introduced herself and after a couple minutes brought waters and took our order. The brunch menu didn't offer a lot of selections but we ordered and waited for our food. Most of our order took almost an hour to come out. My wife's breakfast burrito was brought out after everyone else was done eating. Another item was sent back to the kitchen and still was brought back undercooked so that person just skipped breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was not traditional southern gravy but you could see what they were trying to achieve. The biscuit was good and the bacon was perfectly cooked. Our sever was polite but overall not a great experience. Very disappointing because I had heard it was a good place to eat.
