This is a great little park in the heart of downtown Mt. Dora. Tall oak trees line the perimeter; a beautiful little water fountain feature is on the side near near the historic Donnelly house and has plenty of surrounding seating; the opposite side of the park is sloped, but has an open grassy area where the little ones can run off some energy; there are tennis courts that appear to be maintained well; and there are public restrooms outside of the community building which are clean and well maintained (Thank you city of Mt. Dora!). We love all of the family friendly community events held here, especially the free holiday events and art exhibits. Just an FYI... this park does not have a playground area for kids; I think it's more geared for a calm rest stop for adults out and about for shopping or sight seeing.

In fairness, I did not see all of Donnelly Park. They have an outside patio and an air conditioned inside. I came here to see the Highwaymen Art Festival. Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, I was only able to see the last 25 minutes. Most artists had packed up already. They will be back the second week in January 2024. Please enjoy the pics I was able to take of Alfred Hair's son.... he has such talent and the most beautiful Florida seascapes.

Nice town park, after a walk thru Mount Dora Streets it was nice to find open clean public restrooms, park has a couple of tennis courts, park benches, town information board with points of interest, businesses, tours and restaurants, a nice little water fountain, and it seems a community room, very nicely decorated with Christmas lights, as we visited just the 25th of December, quiet in the morning but it does gets busy in the evenings hours.

Nice park to have your lunch at when I used to work at the office. There is a ample parking with plenty of seating. I haven't been back until recently for the Christmas lights. They did a great job at putting them up. You can take a short walk on a walkway around the park which I never knew existed until I saw the Christmas lights lit up around them. They even coordinate with music once in a while lighting on and off with different colors.

It's absolutely amazing at how well these lights are beautifully put together. It really gives you the feeling of that small southern town hospitality and takes you away from hustles of city life. Mt. Dora and all that put this together .. Thank you. This was our first time and I will never miss it once Christmas with visiting Donnelly Park. Thank you Mt. Dora for such a beautiful time.

Christmas in Mt. Dora has become one of our favorite traditions since moving to Florida! Even this year with COVID and a little less events, food trucks, etc they still go all out and the city is beautiful. It's a great walk through a lit-up downtown with cute little shops and restaurants and drinks. There's something for everyone and we'll keep this on our annual list of must-dos
